Places to walk & explore from the beachhouse. A 2 minute walk to the 2 miles of Sandy beach where adventure begins. Maer rocks for rock pooling - or head towards Rodney bay & beyond to enjoy the quietness & virgin sands.

January garden jobs at The beach House: 1/ add well rotted compost, seaweed around all the plants & beds. 2/ separate plants that are getting too big such as some of the grasses, osteospernum, agapanthus 3/ prune wisteria & vines 4/ it’s still not too late to plant some bulbs to ensure early colour for spring guests 5/ echinums do not like the frost so get protection 6/ start seedlings in propogator. The most important thing is to enjoy it & getting stuck into the soil keeps us warm. Be sure to leave some extra food out for the birds We love some of the brave daffs starting to show their pretty faces already. .
