So today we celebrate as we have been granted Short Term Let Licences for all our holiday cottages 🎉🥂🍾
This is a new requirement for all holiday cottages in Scotland, but we have been working on these for a year, so I’m sure you can imagine our relief 😅

It’s pumpkin season 🎃🍂 and this fab patch is one not to be missed.

🎃🤩 We are OPEN everyday now to the 29th of October 🤩🎃

👻 🎃 🧙‍♀️ Open from 10 am to 5 pm 👻🎃🧙‍♀️

🎃 NO BOOKING required and NO ADMISSION CHARGE 🎃

🎃 Prices range from £1 to £7 🎃

🎃 We are easy to find - we are on the right just before going into the village of St Abbs. Postcode TD14 5QF 🎃

🎃 We will be accepting cash 💷 and contactless payment 💳

🎃 We have thousands of pumpkins looking for new homes - we have many varieties to choose from 🎃

📷 Don't forget to bring your camera for some fantastic photos 📷

🐶 No dogs will be allowed in the patch (apart from assistance dogs) BUT there are grass areas around the patch 🐶

🚗 Free car parking available in close proximity to the patch - look out for the sign 🚙

Pumpkins will last for months if stored correctly. Please store in a cool dry place e.g garage or shed. They don't like to be stored in warm conditions! Don't carve your pumpkins too early as they will only last a few days once carved.

Some great half term activities in St Abbs - just next door to St Abbs Pumpkin Patch perfect for an autumn day out!

Upcoming events at Borders Pottery CIC in St abbs.
First up- 29th October Halloween- come and enjoy painting tombstones, zombie boxes or pumpkin sugar bowls and enjoy some baking from Why not also pick some pumpkins while you’re her from Other upcoming events include pottery painting and pie nights and Christmas themed pottery painting too.

If Carlsberg did harvest, then this would be it. At 6.30pm the temperature was 24 degrees. It was windless. The dust billowed. The wheat was coming in at 14.5% moisture so could go straight to the grain store without the need for drying. This is the Scottish Borders and this doesn't happen very often. Now for that Carlsberg...

It's 24 degrees at 6.30pm in the Scottish Borders. The last fields of wheat are coming in at 14.5% moisture which means they don't need to go through the dryer. Happy days.

As harvest nears completion, we are already busy with sowing next year's crops. Oilseed r**e in particular benefits from early establishment. Here we are creating a seedbed and sowing seed with our own home-modified one-pass system **e

For any guests staying this weekend - this sounds like a lovely day out!

For the last time this summer, we're one day away from a jam-packed weekend of railway fun! Lloyd will be leaving the station at 10am Friday 25th so get that calendar clear and the picnics packed.

The Station Buffet will be open all running times and parking available at Eyemouth Road Station.
