It’s the time of year for a Weaver Fish stings 😢 In the warmer weather and low tides we have seen a number of stings this week.
If you stand on one of these you will experience sharp pain, most people describe it as stepping on glass! If you think you have been stung then head to Cafe where we can supply hot water and some advice, we are always happy to help and reassure people ☺️
We strongly recommend water shoes if you are paddling in the shallows.

The Falmouth Week fireworks will light up the sky on Friday 16th August! 🎆
Smart Pyrotechnics will be putting on a dazzling display with viewing points from Falmouth Harbour, Events Square, Custom House Quay, Prince of Wales Pier and the Docks Lookout Point!
Saturday 17th August is reserved as usual for a wet weather back-up if the display cannot go ahead on Friday. Keep an eye out for updates closer to the time.. 👀

Always worth a visit when staying @ Heather’s Cottage.

Pendennis fort was put to the test during the First Civil War (1642-1646), as Falmouth served as a crucial port for King Charles I's army. This reconstruction depicts Pendennis during the intense siege of 1646.
