We absolutely love this photo taken by one of our favourite guests recently, taken from the coast path between Swanpool and Maenporth.
Their Autumn third visit to Driftwood Cottage and once again, they got to experience some beautiful sunshine!
We’re so lucky to be so close to be able to access miles of footpaths and trails directly from the doorstop here at Driftwood Cottage.

We are incredibly grateful to our guests who take the time to write a review for us - whether it is in the Guest Book, on the page or on Google - it really does help!

We thought we’d share a recent review on Google from some summer guests.
You can see why we are smiling! 😊

What a fabulous stay! Loads of information before we went, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a lovely area with facilities including a pool, a bar, food, tennis courts, etc in the immediate area, and the cottage has its own parking space. The area around the cottage is lovely and well maintained. The cottage itself is well appointed with a nice kitchen and living room, three bedrooms, two of which are large doubles, a bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The living room door opens into a nice garden and has a nice split door option. There is good wifi. The cottage is dog friendly.

The cottage is a few minutes from the centre of Falmouth, where there is plenty to do, and close to plenty of other attractions.

We spent a week here in August 2024 and loved every minute of it. There is plenty to do in Falmouth and the area around it, and Driftwood Cottage is a lovely bit of peace and tranquility just a couple of minutes from everything that we needed. Hopefully we'll make a return visit soon. Absolutely lovely cottage.

Oh so easy to while away the hours watching the boats coming in, watching the boats going out….

Swanpool Beach is just a mile from Driftwood Cottage and it’s a really pretty walk.
It’s uphill to start, taking the footpath around Roscarrack Field.
Then once you cross over Maenporth Road, it’s all downhill along the footpath, past Falmouth Golf Club and to the sea!

We often share photographs from one of our favourite Falmouth bars - The Chintz Symposium - but it really is one of those magical places where everyone spots something different to snap! These beautiful images are what caught our daughter’s eye when she visited recently.

We’re always excited to hear when guests have tried out one of the many restaurants in Falmouth, and keen to know what they think!
Last month our lovely group of young ladies fancied some sushi and ramen - so headed to RoBo.
They can highly recommend it for anyone fancying something a little different!

Happy weekend! Hope you all have lovely plans… Currently a little drizzle here in Cornwall, we’re hoping it’ll clear for the Sea Shanty tomorrow! Many guests comment on (and love!) the robotic mowers outside on the lawn. Riz the Driftwood pup isn’t too concerned about them as you can see… (Although she did nearly get run over twice yesterday - I had to run and move an oblivious sunbathing pup pre-collision 😂
