Well, after year and a half of scratching my head as to what hashtags to use how to compete with all the perfectly edited pics and reels on Instagram, I think I’ll come back to trying to use FB properly again… Providing a nice boat and a lovely time on the water is something I can do well. Photography/video editing? Not so much…

Special treat today for Dianne who’s always wanted to explore up the Percuil river but never found the time to do it. In all honesty, I’ve never been up as far as we went today and I’ve been boating here for nearly a decade. Plenty of beautiful places to explore!

Fancy arriving for a pub meal at the Pandora Inn in style? This lot did. And then went on to let lunch settle with some sight seeing in an area of Cornwall they hadn’t seen before. I think they all enjoyed it!
Friends down from Manchester warranted a treat out on the water. A bit overcast unfortunately but still plenty to see and do. Warmer and sunnier weather on its way!
No sun today, but still plenty of scenery, seals and a very brief swim. Despite going on and on about wanting to get in the water, little Evie had second thoughts when crunch time came. Didn’t stop her from “assisting” her older sister Poppy when she couldn’t make up her mind…

And again, glorious sunshine! Lots of seals around, no joy with the fishing (I blame all the seals being around scaring them off…), some very slow racing to watch as no wind and two very cute and well behaved dogs. But a stunning afternoon out the water!

Another beautiful day on the water. Perfect weather for a swim/snorkel and Natalie and family holidaying near St Ives took the opportunity to get away from the crowds and escape to Mylor for a trip I’m pretty sure they really enjoyed. Hopefully see you all again next time you’re down!
Birthday celebrations today and a very special trip to the Helford with a swim thrown in for good measure. It was a beautiful day and there are lots more of those forecast in the coming week or so. Get out and enjoy it!
Amazing job by the Marine Team at Mylor Yacht Harbour. Knowing that I was only free for one day and at very short notice, they managed to fit Carmen Rose is for a full Suzuki outboard service. Out of the water at 8.45am and back in by midday. Thank you very much! It also gave me a chance to give the hull a good clean to get her looking her best for Falmouth Week.
Woody and Bailey the spaniels brought their family out for a trip this afternoon, a day earlier than planned as the forecast tomorrow is not the best and we did catch some sunshine. But from Thursday onwards and we’ll into next week at least, things are on the up as there should be loads of good weather. Perfect timing for Falmouth Week!

Been a busy few days,and whilst it hasn’t been as sunny as of late, we’ve been treated to our own helicopter display, wildlife, tall ships, had the beautiful Ruan Creek to ourselves, been to Frenchmans Creek and many, many other places. And enjoyed some bubbly on the way.

Well, I know there’s always something new to see on the water every day, but this was a first… Apparently somebody with a bit of cash took a sea plane to get lunch at the Idle Rocks. Obviously we had to get close up to watch them leaving, but the sensible thing to do probably isn’t to be right behind a plane when it’s taking off. Carmen Rose was the party boat this afternoon as Angela and friends enjoyed making the most of the late September sunshine on their trip down to Cornwall. So nan wanted sunshine and relaxation, the boys wanted speed and jumping in the sea and mum and dad wanted Cornish history like hidden smugglers tunnels. What they didn’t expect was for the boys to get to jump off the boat and swim to shore to explore a hidden smugglers tunnel while mum and nan enjoyed lounging on the sun deck with a nice drink. Such a shame that the Tall Ships parade of sails was cancelled yesterday, but having spent the day and night on a boat it was definitely the right decision. It was, uhmmm, boisterous out there. As demonstrated by the two boats washed up on shore a Looe beach having come free of their mooorings. The problem with birthdays is that they can’t really be moved, and so we headed out from Mylor despite a beautiful fog bank forming on the other side of the Carrick Roads to celebrate a special day with a surprise boat trip. Fortunately we managed to avoid the worst of it and a lovely time was had by all.
