St Mawes Ferry

St Mawes Ferry Connecting Falmouth to St Mawes 7 days a week, year round!
(31)

The St Mawes Ferry connects the old world fishing harbour of St Mawes with the bustling port of Falmouth. The ferry provides an all year round service to over 100,000 visitors a year and is an absolute must for anyone visiting Cornwall. Passing the impressive castles of St Mawes & Pendennis, the ferry route takes you on a magical journey across the Carrick Roads. As well as the castles you will se

e many large ships, the working docks of Falmouth, Black Rock (a local isolated shipping hazard) and if you're lucky some of the dolphins and basking sharks that regularly visit the harbour. The classic wooden ferries depart every hour during the winter and three times an hour during the summer. Capacity is never a problem as each ferry can carry up to 100 passengers and covered seating is provided in case we get some of that โ€˜Cornish Liquid Sunshine'.

Lest we forget.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
We will remember them.

We ๐Ÿ’™ this message and photo from Alex, one of our wonderful passengers:
"I jumped on a return trip yesterday evening as I was walking past PoW Pier on my way home. It was such a lovely afternoon that I felt it would be a real shame not to make the most of it (especially as we have been slightly robbed this year weather-wise - given that we are still owed Spring, let alone Summer!). It was a stunning early evening mini cruise - this is one of the many reasons I love the Locals Mussel Card!"
Thank you Alex, it's always a pleasure and we're glad you're making the most of your Locals Mussel Card! The light at this time of year can be spectacular and sometimes it's not about the destination, just being on board is magical enough โ›ด
