It's National Recycling week so what better time to talk about our drive to become more a more sustainable company? ♻️
We've always tried to do our bit by recycling & reducing plastic but from now on we're commited to taking this much further so a few months ago we became just the 2nd Chalet company to take "The POW Pledge" with @protectourwinters . This is a series of commitments and benchmarks that we must now achieve to eventually reach Net Zero as soon as we possibly can.

In addition to these main pledges we have already made the following small changes and are adding more as and when we can:
🚗 Swapping our diesel truck to our first electric vehicle
🍺 Offering a free crate of @BrewDog (Carbon Negative) to each guest that travels by train instead of flying 🚝
🚽 Swapping all chalet toilet roll to eco recycled '@whogivesacraptp' toilet paper
🍃 No longer using clingfilm & swapping kitchen roll for re-usable eco bamboo kitchen roll to minimise waste
👕 Swapping to Phosphate free vegan dishwasher tablets and @ecoegg_uk for laundry which is better for the environment
🍶 Providing naturally derived "@faithinnature_uk" hand wash and shower gel to all guests
🚰 Reducing plastic packaging by using concentrated refills for cleaning
🚨 As much as we'd love to promise that we can make every change necessary to achieve net zero immediately, it will take time, money and careful planning as its an absolute minefield involving our entire supply chain. We hope you'll support us along the way with any suggestions you think we may be able to implement in our business!

I cannot believe I’ve never taken the train to get between Geneva airport and @la_plagne before. It’s absolutely stunning, super easy, super CHEAP, super comfortable and GREEN. Yes you have to change a few times and jump on a 30 minute bus to get up to resort but it’s very easy and much more pleasant than sitting on a bus all the way. And on a Saturday it could actually save you time getting to resort, especially in February. We will be recommending this as an option, particularly for smaller groups, as a stress free and greener way of getting to us in the future 😊 🚆 ⛷ ❄️ 🏂 #train #travelbytrain
