As we embark on a new decade, we find ourselves reflecting on our achievements over the last ten years and how fortunate we are to have a highly skilled, stable and loyal workforce, who continually offer their utmost in hard work and dedication. Our portfolio of projects has grown significantly, and we are proud of how each has been successfully executed and delivered. We have forged some great partnerships within the industry, not least of which with Lindner Facades Limited, and at the conclusion of 2019 we were proud to learn that we are recipients of a number of Lindner Facades 2019 Health and Safety awards, which were presented in a ceremony earlier this week, including:
•Joint First Place in the Lindner Health and Safety Contractors League
•'Lindner Safest Project of the Year' for 250 City Road
•'Supervisor of the Year' which was awarded to Adrian Danci
•'Operative of the Year' which was awarded to Constantin Radu Morar
Overall 2019 was a good year for RF Fixing, and we are excited for what 2020 will bring. Keep following us to share in our journey along the way!

For our operatives working at height knowing the correct steps to take to free a colleague who has fallen and been left in a precarious situation, safely and quickly, is critical. Practical training is key to being prepared for such a situation should it ever arise. Check out footage of some of our team doing just this:

Mental health is about how we think, feel and behave, with anxiety and depression being the most common mental health problems that affect people’s lives. Fortunately, awareness surrounding mental health is growing and last month saw World Mental Health Day on 10th October. However, often within the construction industry a stigma can still appear to surround mental health, despite it being a very real issue. At RF Fixing we decided to take positive action to educate our workforce about mental health and engaged with the expertise of Mental Health First Aid England to aid us with this. The half day course delivered to our managers and supervisors was well received and highly beneficial. Read the full story here:

Works at our 250 City road project site have now moved on to the install of Reynaers highly specified Hi-Finity automatic sliding doors. To maximise safety and ensure time efficiency, we have developed specialist lifting attachments to aid and enable the installation of the doors in pre-constructed form. All our operatives are CSCS skilled, with those working on open edge being harness trained, carrying out daily checks of their equipment prior to use and ensuring there is adequate exclusion zone below them and on the working floor. When complete, the state-of-the-art sliding doors with their elegant aesthetics and innovative technology will contribute greatly to the stunning design of this development by Berkeley homes. Take a look at some footage of the RF Fixing team in action below. More information about the project can be found here: www.rffixing.co.uk/projects/250-city-road-islington-london/
