Another reminder for all you 1.0ltr Ford Ecoboost owners out there.

Get your oil changed at the correct interval.
Use the correct oil specified.
Timing belt changed at correct interval.

We had a Focus come in with a hard brake pedal, signs of a brake vacuum pump already being changed.

(Pictures attached)

Upon further investigation, found brake vacuum pump clogged up with bits of timing belt residue. Belt cracking and deteriorated.

Cleaned out Vac pump.
Cleaned out oil pump.
Cleaned sump out.
New timing belt fitted.
Oil and filter changed.

Brand new 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s getting busy at the moment with Timing Belts.

A reminder on the 1.0ltr Ecoboost that it’s quite important that it gets done to avoid engine damage.

Hers a few pictures of the latest one we done, where the old worn belt had contaminated the oil pump strainer in the sump.
