Fiesta Ecoboost
Another Fiesta Ecoboost Engine saved. Customer booked in with low oil pressure light on. Stripped down and removed sump to find oil pick up clogged up in strainer with degraded wet belt. (Picture in comments)
New belt later, cleaned oil pump strainer and cleared Vac pump. All good to go again. Done by yours truly 😜👍🏻

Prop
Happy Friday peeps. Hope you’ve all had a good week. Usual busy week for us here at Swinburne’s.
This week’s MOT failure (Or 2 weeks ago failure, as I wasn’t here for that week 🤣🤪) done by Matt, was this prop-shaft bearing bush on a Landrover. A little bit too much movement in it for our liking. Good spot Matt. 👍🏻👌🏻
Clutch
Will upload a few more through the week. Not an MOT Failure but certainly a clutch failure. Aaron had a broken pressure plate causing obvious clutch issues last week. If you have any clutch issues, give us a call and we are happy to help.
Diesel Leak
What’s that smell??? That would be a diesel smell Mr Customer 😳 All 4 fuel injectors were corroded quite bad. This no. 1 injector was the worst I would say. Little pin prick hole leaking diesel.
MOT failure of the week
Rear suspension arm bush excessively worn giving excessive movement. 😳 This weeks MOT failure of the week.

Crank Pulley Knock
Unfortunately we had no correct answer from our BMW engine knock video yesterday. 🙄
So that means the prize of the Swinburne’s Gold Club Membership which entitled you to free MOTs for life is now void. 😂😂
I can confirm though that the issue was in fact the Crankshaft Pulley causing that horrendous noise.

Well… Aaron finally fixed it. Took him a while this one, 🤣🤣
Was one of them jobs where you fix one issue, and another would surface! A mixture of that and back order parts. It’s finally done and been collected. Running smoothly.
Smoke Machine
One of Matt’s favourite devices here at Swinburne’s.
The smoke machine is good for detecting leaks on the intake system. As you can see for yourself. Customer complain of a loud hissing noise lack of power. Smoke goes through the intake and escapes through the damaged intercooler. Quite an obvious fault as it’s damaged, but very good for detecting inner seals on hoses, and even minor cracks on the inlet manifold.
A very handy piece of equipment. 👍🏻👍🏻
