Wow 🤩 Last night we were treated to a rare appearance (for us) from the aurora borealis, which put on a breathtaking display in the skies above Dargate 🌈

We still have weekday and some weekend availability during the summer, so what better way to spend a few days away than the glorious countryside and right here in the Garden of England.

We can’t guarantee the northern lights again, but we can guarantee immaculate accommodation, a friendly welcome, and peace and calm to switch off from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind.

Three weeks ago we collected some new girls 🐓 🐓 from Little Eaton Farm Chickens to bolster up our egg production 🥚🥚

It took the youngsters a few days to integrate with the older ladies, and be brave enough to venture into the coop at night with Colin The Cockerel 🤣 …but now they are very settled and today we had the first egg from one of them.

Full egg production will be ramped up in the next 2 weeks to provide the freshest and most golden eggs for our guests.

We are now booked out to end of May, so start thinking about the warmer (and dryer!!) days of the summer ☀️😎 and secure your Cart Stable getaway. As our reviews consistently say, you will have an egg-ceptional time!

After last nights beautiful sunset and once this morning’s fog had cleared, the dew and rising sun uncovered a web of spidery activity all around the garden 🕸️🕸️

We’ve been a bit quiet on the socials this year but rest assured The Cart Stable has been in full swing welcoming both new and returning Cart Stablers through its doors for a tranquil and relaxing countryside getaway.

We’ve also been busy finally getting our garage built… so no more parking on an exposed and sometimes very wet and slippery garage base… it finally has walls✅ …floors✅ …and a roof✅!! 🙌🏼 It also complements the adjacent Cart Stable building just perfectly👌🏼🤩

Oh no! 🤦‍♂️ These two saw our last post about Halloween weekend availability 💀👻 and turned up unannounced under the influence of their home brew pumpkin vodka 🎃🎃🤪🤪

As you can see, Mrs Pumpkin wasn’t impressed with Mr Pumpkin when we told her we were fully booked, and their dog didn’t look particularly friendly either!

We absolutely loved our poems left by Jessie and Dan, our guests who checked out today after a midweek 3-night stay ❤️

We love it when guests leave us with lovely memories of their stay, and this gorgeous pair will have taken lovely memories back with them after really making the most of their time and doing all the things that we love doing.

It’s great to see Faversham Hopfestival returning this weekend after a 2 year absence. Wishing everyone involved the very best of luck for an amazing weekend. 🍺🍺🎉

This is the marquee event on Faversham’s calendar, celebrating the towns history in hop growing and brewing.

If you’ve never been before you’re missing out, and The Cart Stable is the perfect place to stay as a base and is just a short drive, taxi or cycle to all the fun.

If you still haven't been to the Antiques Market in Faversham, you are really missing out. It is the country's biggest town centre antiques market and has such a lovely atmosphere. There is a fantastic range of vintage items to be found including jewellery, iron signs, furniture, artwork, accessories and more. The list is endless! Our next Market will be on the 2nd of October.

We had such a great time earlier this week for our annual canoe paddle down the River Stour with the fabulous Canoe Wild 🛶 🛶 , located in Fordwich which is officially Britain’s smallest town!

Spend 2hrs of serene paddling meandering through the Kent countryside and finishing at the Grove Ferry Inn for a well earned drink.

After that we returned to Fordwich to eat at The George & Dragon which has a great menu and the food certainly didn’t disappoint!

This is great way to spend an afternoon and then return to The Cart Stable for some well earned relaxation 😴

Start thinking ahead for your autumn escape, treat a loved one and spend some quality time together. 💞

After four weeks of being looked after by the Mummy Ducks 🦆🦆 it’s time for our six ducklings 🐥🐥 to venture out and explore the big wide world 🌎
