Wout van Aert on the Belgian Masked Singer! It really was him! Wout van Aert has participated in The Masked Singer. With Song 2 by Blur, the the suit in which the rider was hiding, conquered many hearts. At the same time, many people immediately pointed to Van Aert.
And so Van Aert took off his mask, with a huge smile. "I was looking forward to it, but I was also a bit scared," Van Aert said in the broadcast. "And that was actually exactly the reason why I wanted to do it: something out of my comfort zone. It's a once in a lifetime, right?"
"Apart from my wife, nobody knew about it. I knew I would be a squirrel, but when I saw the costume, I thought for a moment: 'what the ....'."

' A Tale of Two Tours of Britain '

Just over a year ago I was leading local rides on the run in to the double header stage in the 2023 The Tour Of Britain , Felixstowe to Felixstowe. On one of these rides I was joined by the current Mayor of Felixstowe Seamus Bennett, who at the coffee stop said ' I have an idea, a lifelong ambition . .'
Subsequently we had a meeting I said 'yes, anything is possible !' and The Only Way Is East - the Mayor’s Coast to Coast Charity Ride was born, and the rest is history.
Yesterday Mark Cavendish got to see some old school iconic Bioracer cycling kit at the conclusion of this years TOB.

So yes anything is possible Seamus, even raising over 30k for local charities and meet the GOAT.

The Tour Of Britain Final Stage
Lowestoft to Felixstowe

Congratulations to everyone involved in putting the end of my street on the global stage! We might be on a peninsular, but the TOB 2024 ends here!
Got to meet lots of people, free ice cream and spend quality time with my 'inner ring'.
Thanks to The Greenhouse Cafe for keeping us dry, an excellent vantage point for the presentation, and their nosage rolls are blinding too!
Visit Felixstowe , Love Felixstowe keep up the good work of promoting our town! and finally thanks to the bicycle, it's all about the bike!

and we got to meet Elvis at The Grosvenor !

TOWIE Get Together

Last night we were summoned to The Grosvenor by Seamus Bennett, for an informal get together.
What followed left me speachless, something that does not happen very often!
I was presented with a print, showing in great detail all the highlights of this amazing Coast to coast odyssey.

Sir Mark Simon Cavendish KBE

Today was one of those rare moments in life when 'where were you when ### happened?'.

Well I was getting very emotional infront of a TV screen watching possibly the greatest sporting achievement, 'comeback' of all time! and I choose my words carefully!
Professional cycling is brutal, it shows no mercy, sprinting is gladiatorial, no quarter is asked for or given, and second place is first of the loosers.
Today's finish was sublime, beating all the best sprinters in the world, fair and square and by doing so taking his 35th victory at the TDF!!!

I have had the pleasure of watching Mark ride on the track, the Olympics, being on the Rollout of the TOB, the TDF and numerous Giros!!
Today you made this old man cry with happiness as you proved anything is possible!!
