February Fenders: been busy with fretting a few Fenders this month. Stainless, nickel & some neck refinishing too! There’s always at least one or two Fenders in the workshop these days.

Schecter Banshee & Ernie Ball Musicman: fret dressing & setups on these two lefty’s. Schecter necks are amazing, so straight! Always nice to setup.

Italia 12 string conversion: Task, convert to Rickenbacker style string arrangement, fit flatwounds & full setup. Involved some re-slotting of the nut & bridge saddles, setup & away you go.

Epiphone Les Paul pickup swap: Still amazed how good these sound even after all this time. Having fitted plenty of these Iron Gear pickups I can certainly recommend the Blues Engine & Dirty Torque combo!

Fender Sonic blue strat re-finish: it was metallic ocean blue but we think the transformation speaks for itself.

Gibson 335 & 339: replace stock ABR bridge on the 339 for Gotoh & full setups on both.

Various: Epiphone with loose frets being glued back before dressing. Hofner with interesting neck pocket mid repairs. Larrivee with lifting cracked bridge which needs removal.

Ibanez RG refret in stainless & Kramer Pacer refret in nickel. Work in progress.

Ibanez RGIR20FE: back bow, lots of buzz & very low unplayable action. Once the neck was finally straightened the uneven frets could be sorted, then a full setup.

Fenders: there are always a few in the workshop. Nice new tele & Precision in for setup & a vintage jazz in for some tlc.

Last of 2017: San Dimas fret dress & setup. Jeff Loomis 7 string Ibanez fret dress & setup. Twisted Warwick neck (now straightened using heat). Aria Pro II re-fretted & setup.

Yamaha BB pickup conversion: Seymour Duncan SMB5 installed in bridge (fair bit of routing required) & SD active preamp system fitted. Fret dress & setup.

Gretsch Country gentleman: some electrical issues on this vintage Gretsch ended up in complete removal of wiring loom. Fishing for wires using a guitar string is always fun!

Gibson Les Paul gold top: some fretwork on this one & a full setup. Came in top wrapped, but lack of pressure on bridge was causing strings to jump from saddles. Works for some but not others! https://t.co/3NnNiLnhUw
