Santa and Rudolph are having a rest today, so it’s a good opportunity for a few more thank yous.

This year 3PL are accommodating our trailer on Substation Rd. With the closure of the Half Moon, it looked like Rudolph would be out in the cold until 3PL stepped in.

Once again Felixstowe Ferry Boat Yard has taken care of Rudolph: last year a full makeover and this year mending a broken antler. And we mustn’t forget HB Commercial who kept the whole show on the road by providing a brand-new trailer back in 2022.

Then there are Savers and Morrisons providing parking and facilities for Santa’s weekend appearances, Felixstowe Town Council for supporting our Felixstowe Santa tracker tag, and all the retailers who have supplied sweets to top up Santa’s basket.

Really big thanks to all.

What's happening on Great Eastern Square? The Visit Felixstowe bandstand is up, crafted and installed by our marvellous pride of Lions Club of Felixstowe. Sat 14th and Sun 15th is our own Christmas Craft Market, featuring Mrs I Crafts and local crafters, the Love Felixstowe merch stall, with some very special festive treats being served up by The Waffle Shack - Felixstowe and The Greenhouse Cafe. Live performances from GRAY, Christmas Evie White & Matt Snow plus the fabulous Jackson 3 (we want them back) Throw in the festive soundtrack of FRESH GOLD RADIO UK and you've got yourself a fully festive Felixstowe weekend. Today the ambassadors who work at the Tourist Hut on the sea front had a Christmas get together and catch up with each other. This team of volunteers don't just do a couple of hours a week welcoming visitors they have to manage the whole thing now from rotas, What's On and dealing with all sorts of public enquires. They provide a friendly face to tourists and locals alike. This service would not survive without them they don't just Love Felixstowe they Live Felixstowe!!! Well done to you all.👏

To make up for last weekend, Felixstowe is pulling out the festive red carpet of retail this weekend. Ditch that online trolley and come and enjoy yourself underneath our twinkling lights. The Christmas markets at Great Eastern Square will be on for TWO DAYS this weekend. Local crafters, Love Felixstowe merch, local musicians, live broadcasts and festive treats abound, then spend the day in town amongst our fabulous indie shops - most are open on Sunday. Come and join us!
