5 we also opened our independent travel agency Crosskeys Travel in Sandgate Road, Folkestone which has now moved to our depot where you can get advice from our experienced travel consultants on inclusive holiday packages, cruises, city breaks, ski breaks, adventure holidays or safari experiences. We work with well known travel providers such as TUI, First Choice, Sandals, Fred Olsen, SIlversea, Saga, P&O Cruises, Olympic, and many more.

Crosskeys are delighted to confirm that our operator’s licence has been reinstated and we shall be resuming normal service as quickly as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, far and wide, that have helped us over this difficult past 24-hours. In particular, we have been so grateful for the support and numerous encouraging comments that we have received from our customers.

The whole of the Crosskeys team, whose efforts in making alternative arrangements happen have been quite extraordinary, will now turn their attention to ensuring customers will once again receive the service that they have become accustomed to.

Crosskeys Coaches, Kent’s leading provider of coach travel, have today announced to customers that due to an administrative error in regards to their operator’s licence they have had to temporarily suspend operating their fleet.

Managing Director Alan Johnson has said “Due to what is a very embarrassing error on our part the Department of Transport has suspended our operator’s licence for what I expect to be a short period” Alan added “we are working with our legal advisors to resolve this issue in the shortest time possible and our team here are currently making alternative arrangements to ensure that our customers pre-Christmas plans are affected as little as possible”.

All day-trips, holidays, private hire and school services will go ahead as scheduled unless we contact you to advise differently.

The administrative error involves the failure to complete compulsory training in due time and Crosskeys understands the Department of Transport are simply following their regulations. Having been operating for in excess of 40-years, with a hitherto unblemished regulatory record, this is a regrettable situation for the business but customers can rest assured that all Crosskeys services will soon return to normal.

In July 2019 we continued to grow and had our very own purpose built location in which the Travel Agency joined and now offers easy access and free parking to all our customers.
