Off road parking is available directly opposite the property, WIFI, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. The private, enclosed garden provides a large patio with comfortable sitting area, lawn, summer house, and hot tub so guests can relax indoors and outdoors. The outside seating area is suitable for just relaxing or dining al fresco. An overhead canopy covers the patio sitting area so you can enjoy the garden whatever the weather. The Summer House at the rear of the garden allows you to enjoy the last of the day’s sunshine in comfort. The property is offered for 4, 7 or 14 night stays – check in 17.00, check out 10.00 hours. Pannage season is nearly here! 🐖🍂🍁

Pannage is an ancient practice still used in the New Forest. New Forest Commoners send their pigs out to eat fallen acorns and other nuts; green acorns are poisonous to the New Forest ponies and cattle, which roam the forest most of the year.

Up to 600 pigs and piglets will work their way through the forest - it is the only time of year that the pigs are allowed to ‘roam’ the open forest; the rest of the time they are kept in their smallholdings by the commoners. Pannage is no longer carried out in many areas of the country but can still be observed annually in the New Forest National Park.

This year, Pannage season in the New Forest is from Monday 11 September to Friday 17 November.
