We are all ready for our new guests to check in this afternoon and what beautiful weather they have for their summer holiday!! 🏖️We have the out, milk in the fridge and the stair gates up for the little ones ✔️

We will always let you know if the Lodge is ready early and accommodate early check ins whenever we can, just ask in advance and we can confirm a day or 2 before your stay whether we can help.

What a special night last night 💜 Damerham is in a rural area so the skies are super dark and star gazing is always amazing out here but WOW! last night the Northern Lights were spectacular!

The beautiful New Forest National Park 🏞️ Just 10 mins drive from the Lodge and absolutely enchanting. Here’s some fun facts about the forest…
🌳 The forest is over 1000 years old
🌳 Over 7000 animals graze on the forest
🌳 There are 235km of public footpaths
🌳 The oldest tree is believed to be 1000 years old
🌳 The tallest tree is 55 meters tall!

Whilst the sun is still shining, why not enjoy a pint in the beer garden at our local pub whilst you stay with us? This is the view from the pub garden onto the village sports field behind and farmland beyond 😍 Just a 5 min walk from the Lodge, it’s the perfect place to visit all year, our guests frequently have great feedback and they serve pub grub, have a Gurkha kitchen at the weekends and have Sushi on the go too! Check out serving times in advance and book to avoid disappointment 🍻

Kitchen comforts 👩🏻‍🍳 At the Lodge, we really look to provide a home from home and that starts in the kitchen! tea, coffee and milk for when you arrive. Salt, pepper, herbs, spices and cooking oils so all of the small things are covered. We also provide washing tablets and softener for you to do a wash whilst you stay if needed! Fordingbridge is a former market town famed for its seven-arch late medieval bridge, which crosses the River Avon at the centre of the Town. It’s just a 10 minute drive from the Lodge and for guests with little ones, or bigger ones, Fordingbridge Riverside Park is a great place to visit after a walk around the town browsing the independent shops and cafes. Fordingbridge Riverside Park has a recently refurbished children’s play area, secluded memorial gardens and sports playing fields. There are also opportunities for day fishing at the Recreation Ground (tickets can be purchased from the Riverside Kiosk). This stretch of the River Avon has also recently become a designated bathing water site with its own little “beach” into the river, there is a paddling pool open from the end of May to September each year, a skate park, toilets and the Riverside Kiosk that does yummy hot chocolate! We have seen lots of donkeys and ponies with foals the last couple of weeks 🤍 Remember to look from afar and don’t be tempted to go in for a cuddle.
