Aaah ducklings this is not the river!! It’s a hot one today and we need our pool for the children . Don’t worry help is on the way 👍

The paddling pool in the Recreation Ground will be opening late today. The ducklings need to be relocated and the pool drained and cleaned.

Hopefully the pool will reopen by late afternoon.

What a day yesterday with winds and rain. All the roads round Gorley flooded. Even cows looking for a dry place!!

Just a reminder to visitors that BBQs are not allowed in the New Forest.

This is a post we would like you to share as far and wide as possible please.

Most locals know that BBQS and wild fires are banned across the whole of the New Forest.

But we need to get the same message across to as many visitors as possible too.

These BBQS being put out in Burley by Forestry England Ranger Janet during our joint patrols today, belonged to a family from outside Hampshire who had no idea that this was something they couldn’t do and how much of a risk it was to the Forest.

Please tell everyone and let’s make sure we have another fire free summer.
