Dean Cottage Self Catering Dean Cottage is a traditional 18th century detached cottage in the peaceful & tranquil hamlet, Kirkton of Kinnettles which is in Angus's Strathmore Valley.

It has a comfortable lounge with wood burning stove & dining area, kitchen with modern appliances, 2 bedrooms, 1 double & 1 twin which will sleep up to 4 adults & 1 infant. Outside there is on road parking for 2 cars. To the rear there is a drying green for guest use, bike & sporting equipment storage. Although in a secluded location, Dean Cottage is close to all local amenities with Glamis 2 mile

s, Forfar 3.5 miles & Kirriemuir & the Glens 6 miles away. Dundee, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow & the Highlands are all also easily reached travelling by car.

Sightseeing Saturday: The potatoes on Ogilvy Farm grow a short tractor ride from where they’re transformed into vodka. Visitors can experience first-hand the ground to glass vodka with a tour of Ogilvy Vodka Distillery.

Jump on the Tattie Box Tours trailer and go behind the scenes where you’ll learn how the spirit is made from scratch using farm grown potatoes, and see where Ogilvy cook, ferment and distil their vodka.

Peak Season continues and the pool opens at 10.00 am daily.

The first hour each day is quite swim time - no music, no pool toys and no unaccompanied children. Thereafter the chute and paddling pool opens and floats are available for play.

From 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm daily, swimmers over 8 years can enjoy the inflatable obstacle course.

Shona will continue to lead her fantastic Aqua Zumba sessions on a Tuesday at 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, and a Saturday at 11.45 am to 12.45 pm. We have live music each Saturday from 3.00 to 4.00 pm and kids entertainment each Sunday from 2.00 to 4.00 pm. Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, we also have a Splash, Song and Story session for babies and toddlers with their responsible adult from 11.30 am to 12.00 noon.

Midnight Swims continue on Wednesdays from 10.00 pm until midnight. You must book for these due to the demand for places. Booking opens 9 days prior to each event. Book using the Live Life Aberdeenshire app or the LLA website. Midnight Swims are for all ages to enjoy, with the disco by Mearns FM creating a pool party vibe.

A date for your diary - visitors to the Games & Picnic should not miss a trip to the Museum to view photographs of past events and the trophy awarded in years gone by.

The dance at the Masonic Hall has been a landmark date in the calendar for many years. It is mentioned in the play ‘Miss Lindsay’s Secret’ set in the early 20th century, as a gathering for exchanging stories and catching up with all the local news - find out more by visiting the Minnie Lindsay display in our main gallery.
