There’s so much in this weekend we’re not sure which to go to!

Grant Park 100 starts at 11am in Grant Park, Forres and is set to be a fantastic day with lots for the whole family.

Thunder in the Glens takes place today with stallholders, food and of course the amazing roar of motorbikes.

Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials have the last day of the Cross Country today. Always a crowd pleaser.

Lonach Highland Gathering & Games is also on today. Get yourself along for a truely Scottish event.

Of course, if you’d rather not attend an event but have a day out why not visit Brodie Castle & Estate NTS and their Playful Garden or Benromach distillery for a tour and a dram.

It’s Grant Park 100 this Saturday the 24th of August and we can’t wait!

Forres has been fortunate enough to have some incredible events this summer including Forres Toun Mercat, Forres Fest, MacPiping Hot Forres, Forres Highland Games 2024 and some to look forward including Doors Open Days and our very own Burgie Bash Country Fayre at Burgie Woodland Garden/Arboretum.

Calling all Whisky lovers!

Spirit of Speyside: Distilled is coming to Elgin Town Hall on the 6th and 7th of September. There will be hundreds of world famous whisky producers all under one roof and you will have the opportunity to learn from them, ask questions, sample their produce and immerse yourself into the world of Whisky.

Not a whisky fan, don’t worry, also has many wonderful small batch gin and vodka producers as well as craft beer distillers who will be in attendance to tempt you.

There is so much happening this weekend we are not quite sure where to start!

On Saturday we are heading to the Forres Highland Games at Grant Park from 11am, or you could always head to Lossiemouth and see what is happening at Seafest for the closing weekend.

On Sunday why not spend the afternoon at the Dallas Gala from 1pm - 4pm and remember, Zippos circus is in Elgin until Monday the 8th.

Despite the 'Scottish summer' we have still been out and about enjoying all that has to offer.

Yesterday we visited Benromach Whisky based in Forres. Benromach are a family-owned distillery producing award-winning Single Malt Whisky and Red Door Gin.

We’re popping down to Wester Hardmuir Fruit Farm today for some pick your own strawberries and raspberries and a cheeky fresh fruit made to order ice-cream 😋 we are then heading to Findhorn to have a walk on the beach.

What a beautiful morning ☀️

We are looking forward to popping down to Burgie Woodland Garden/Arboretumfrom 10am to grab a coffee and delicious bake from The Coffee Clan and enjoy it in the sunshine.
