Update: roads are now open and power has been restored in the area

Update - road closures and power cut.

There is still no power in the area and the road is closed between spean bridge and invermoriston. We have been advised that we may not have power for 4-5 days. This means there is no hot water, heating or phone signal. We are therefore advising guests not to travel and to contact their travel insurance companies regarding their stay.

An unusual event today with Monster Triathlon at Aonach Mor at The Highland Club, Fort Augustus Abbey, South Loch Ness 🚴‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️ the swimming leg took place near to The Boathouse Restaurant and the Monastery lawn was used as the transition area, so lots to see during the day 🥰
