Dinner with a difference travelling to Corrour Railway Station and dining at Corrour Station House

You would need to pre-book a table in advance but you can do that by telephoning Corrour Station House on 01397 732236. Please advise the restaurant team that you will be arriving by train and returning to Fort William by train.

You leave Fort William train station at 1728 hours travelling to Corrour Railway Station arriving at 1825 hours. Please advise the train guard that you will be returning to Fort William on the late train.

You will have a lovely relaxing meal, and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.

After your meal you will leave Corrour Railway Station at 2120 hours arriving back at Fort William at 2207 hours.

Please always check the current train timetable as these times were relevant on our day of travel and the summer and winter timetables can vary.

Please be aware that the signage in the photographs is the walking distance in miles to the relevant places from Corrour

Had a fantastic meal at An Cafaidh Mara which is located beside the new “Thomas Telford Corpach Marina”. It is located about 4 miles away from the apartments. However, once the new flood defences are completed alongside Lochyside, you will be able to cycle or walk (although a longish walk) along the cycle route until you reach the Soldiers Bridge beside Old Inverlochy Castle, cross the bridge then follow the new route taking you along Lochyside, Caol until you reach Corpach Basin, the start of the Caledonian Canal, from Loch Linnhe.

One of the family took this photo this morning while walking along the Caledonian Canal. It’s certainly worth while getting up early to see to see such unusual cloud formation.

A very kind neighbour sent me these photos of the hind and her babies taken from the field in front of the apartments. They’re far too cute not to share with everyone.

A nice round trip today going on the A830 heading towards Lochailort, then taking the A861 heading towards Acharacle then onto Ardgour, taking the Corran Ferry over Loch Linnhe to join the A82 heading back towards Fort William. Distance is approximately 84 miles and takes approximately 2 hours 40 minutes without any breaks, however, on a day as warm and sunny as today breaking up your journey to enjoy the views is a must. On route we had stunning views looking towards Eigg and Muck, 2 islands within the Inner Hebrides. Clear views too looking down Loch Linnhe and up towards Loch Leven.
