Breezy but not super cold, some pretty firm and slippy snow about in places so crampons are definitely still needed to be as safe as possible 👌

Things are about to change!!

Although it’s been beautiful, sunny and warm the last week or so don’t forget that there is still a lot of snow up high on Ben Nevis!

All the soft snow up there currently is about to go super hard and frozen in the next few days with even more dangerous consequences now there is rock showing!

Please make sure you have proper winter equipment if heading up in the next few days and over the weekend!

Crampons will be essential, micro spikes are not good enough, if in doubt please ask 🤘🙏

I was on the Aonach Eagach looking across at Ben Nevis and we were warm 😂 must have been warm on the mountain track today!!

Ben Nevis looking stunning still, a lot of snow lost off the places exposed to the sun but lots still hiding in the shade although getting rapidly softer!
