If you’re a walker and staying in the Highlands, consider exploring Ullapool and Loch Achall, featured a few days ago in The Times by Christopher Somerville as one of the top winter walks for 2025. A drive from Langridge, this trail offers breathtaking views, crisp winter air, and the chance to immerse yourself in the serene Highland landscape. Winter walking is significantly more challenging than summer walking and the walk can be done in all seasons so please consider your experience level.

⭐️We're delighted to see local people coming together to organise some events for the 2024 Wester Ross Dark Skies Festival! Here's another fab event planned by Jenny High Life Highland Countryside Rangers

Would you like to a plan an event for November? We'd love to hear from you 😀

All you have to do is think of an event idea and send us the details and we'll make a poster for you and add you to our list of events! You can charge whatever you like for your event. This is an opportunity to get folk together in the dark, quiet months to socialise, learn, raise money and/or make a little extra income for individuals, businesses and organisations.

Over the past couple of years we've had a huge variety of events - stargazing, talks, walks, wild swimming, get together meals, art workshops, cosmic ceilidhs, yoga days, film nights, storytelling evenings, winter BBQs and gatherings around the fire!
We had 19 locally organised events throughout the Biosphere last November - can we beat it this year? We need your help to do so!
