⭐️We're delighted to see local people coming together to organise some events for the 2024 Wester Ross Dark Skies Festival! Here's another fab event planned by Jenny High Life Highland Countryside Rangers

Would you like to a plan an event for November? We'd love to hear from you 😀

All you have to do is think of an event idea and send us the details and we'll make a poster for you and add you to our list of events! You can charge whatever you like for your event. This is an opportunity to get folk together in the dark, quiet months to socialise, learn, raise money and/or make a little extra income for individuals, businesses and organisations.

Over the past couple of years we've had a huge variety of events - stargazing, talks, walks, wild swimming, get together meals, art workshops, cosmic ceilidhs, yoga days, film nights, storytelling evenings, winter BBQs and gatherings around the fire!
We had 19 locally organised events throughout the Biosphere last November - can we beat it this year? We need your help to do so!

Planning is underway for the Dark Skies Festival 2024!

The Dark Skies Festival runs throughout November with events organised by local businesses and organisations throughout the Biosphere.

Would you like to host an event this year? Last year over 750 people participated in the festival celebrating our beautiful night skies (nearly double the number of folk from 2022!) Events included Planetarium shows, art and creative writing workshops, storytelling walks, winter BBQs, stargazing evenings, wild swimming and yoga, cosmic ceilidhs, photography and talks about the cosmos!

Our aim is to promote the understanding of how important the dark skies are for our health and well being, how it affects life on our planet and to bring people together across the Biosphere to share, learn, create and explore!

Lights off, Stars ON. Let’s have some fun this November!

We are now asking local businesses and groups to contact us with their event ideas so we can start planning! Our role at the Biosphere is to promote your activities as well as organising a few of our own. You can charge whatever you like for your event, just send us all the details so we can add it to the festival list of activities.
