Morning everyone.
Thought you might like to meet 'George' our gentle Friesian boy cow.
He is 3 years old and we don't normally keep bull calves as Friesian Bulls are notorious for being aggressive when adult and intact. We were persuaded to keep him by a young lady so we had him castrated and he lives with the young stock. He is wonderful with guests. When they call him he walks over to the fence for attention.

One of my favourite days of the year when the girls are let out to grass. They love eating the fresh grass and lazing in the warm sunshine.

Glad to be re-opening this Saturday. The last 3 months and the glorious weather have given me the opportunity to spruce up the chalets outside so they look as good as new.
Bookings are filling up fast for the summer and I want to assure any potential guests that a strict disinfecting regime will be in place especially on changeover days

Pheasant chicks now 6 weeks old/ Growing fast. Still don't know whether male or female. They have a wide range of food and surprisingly love grapes, suet balls strawberries and raspberries.
Mother hen, Mollie, is an exceptional mum still and it will be interesting to see if they stay with her when I release them from the chicken coop.
Not yet though. Too many predators lying in wait.
