Discover the life and legacy of Scotland’s National Bard at our flagship museum in Alloway.

Visit the humble cottage where Burns’ was born, have fun in our interactive exhibition and then burn off some energy with the kids in our Scots themed play park!

We also have fantastic gardens to explore, you can treat yourself to our famous scones in the cafe before a browse around the retail shop!

Our Story

Self-Catering Cottage - located on a working family farm. Traditional stone cottage which was once the diary house where cheese and butter were made on the dairy farm.

Beautiful tranquil spacious country cottage. Ideal for families, couples or indeed anyone wishing to relax and unwind, walk, cycle or to explore the wonderful surrounding countryside. Located 3 miles from the beach.

Ideal location to explore either South Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway or indeed take a day trip over to Belfast. The ferry terminal of Cairnryan is only 20 minutes away from the cottage.

Ballantrae village has lots to offer our visitors. Garage, fuel available 24 hours, Post Office, shop, garden centre and tearoom, tennis courts, library, children’s play park, harbour area, beach, putting green and lots of lovely walks, including hills and rivers.
