I have always loved a tradition, especially as a kid at Christmas 🎄🎅🏻
We had our homemade advent calendar that my great aunt would fill with presents, we would go to the cinema on Christmas Eve, our stockings HAD to be hung in the exact same place on our little rocking chair that we brought down especially for Santa coming and after opening our presents we would put on Christmas songs whilst mum made Kedgeree for breakfast ❤️

📍Rouken Glen Park
The sun was shining yesterday so I decided to take the kids here for a few hours and have a picnic with Bluey and Bingo! The kids were so excited to see the little cygnets and goslings on the pond.
We are so lucky to have this gorgeous park as our local! There’s so much more to it than my reel shows but we were just having a quick trip!
🍰 By the pond, you’ll find the Boathouse Cafe where you can grab breakfast, lunch or just some cake! They have a takeaway kiosk too which sells drinks, ice cream and things like toasties, hot rolls, chips and burgers.
🌊 Visit the waterfall
🥾 Take a detour off the main pathways and do one of the Glen Walks which follow the Auldhouse Burn or try the ‘Devil’s Staircase’ with its 100 steps
🛹🏀🎾🏓 At the other end of the park there’s a skate park, basketball court, tennis courts and a couple of table tennis tables
🛝 We can’t ever visit this park without a trip to the huge playground! Lots of great equipment for all ages
🎠The bouncy castles and merry go round operate March - Mid October (weather permitting) on the weekends, public holidays and school holidays. You can pay by card (My ‘I dont have any pennies’ excuse has gone out the window 😂)
🪴Rouken Glen garden centre is really lovely and also has lots of lovely home decor as well as the usual gardening bits! There’s also a cafe which has a good range of hot and cold food and cakes
🌸 Take a stroll through the walled garden which is open 10am - 4pm all year round
