One of our tour groups this week had the absolute treat of catching a live performance by the GU Trad Society Cèilidh Band, right in the heart of their cycling adventure!

Nothing like some proper Scottish folk tunes to set the scene while out exploring. It was fun, lively, and gave everyone a real taste of Glasgow's local culture.

Cheers to the Trad Society for the tunes. You made the day even more memorable!

You can keep an eye out for any upcoming performances on their Instagram page or their page dedicated to their ceilidh performances.

We have new tour guide in our ranks!

Ollie joined our team a few weeks ago and has had his first few tour groups with us, and received some stellar reviews to boot!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Ollie was a truly wonderful guide! Witty, knowledgeable and fun. The eBikes made moving around Glasgow a breeze. Seeing the river, hearing the history, biking through the greenspace and the University - it was an amazing way to get to know the city & its history! Thank you!"

We can't wait to see what tricks he can pull off in his time with us, make sure to give him a warm welcome when you join a tour with us 🚴‍♂️

This week, we are spotlighting this beautiful mural of St. Thenue, also known as St. Enoch.

St. Thenue is the mother of Glasgow's patron saint St. Mungo, and in this mural is being led by a shoal of trout to Culross after being cast off by her father.

The mural also commemorates the Templeton factory disaster in 1889, which killed 29 women working in its weaving shed.

Make sure to keep an eye out for this mural when you visit Glasgow, which can be found on Abercromby Street in the East End of the city, close to the Bridgeton station. We can also show you the mural as part of our private tour along with other eye -catching works of art dotted around the city!

We love a return customer!

Laura and her husband came on a tour with us last year in September 2023, and returned with their sons last week for a second look around the city! They made the best of their trip despite the weather, and we were to happy to show our guests new and old the sights.

We truly enjoy providing a memorable experience for our guests, and it is endlessly appreciated.

Book a tour to see the city with us, whether this is your first time in Glasgow or your third 😉

June 2026:
"Last time my husband and I enjoyed a bike tour with Gallus Pedals. This time we brought our boys to Glasgow, and couldn’t think of a better way for them to see the city! We all enjoyed the bike tour despite the rain and wind. Stewart and Sebastian were great guides and so fun to spend the 3+ hours with."

Sept 2023:
"First, please visit Glasgow as it is defiantly worth exploring. We’ve been blessed to do bike tours throughout many major cities in the world and this ranks near the top. The guide was both personable and knowledgeable and as I said him, it’s like spending time with a close mate, experiencing his passion for the city he loves. The bikes are easy to use, the city supports many safe lanes, and we came away regretting we only booked one day to enjoy all the city has to offer. Please do support his small business and have a great time!"

NEW VIDEO SERIES LAUNCH!

We're kicking off something special here at Gallus Pedals — a new series where you get to meet the amazing guides who make our tours unforgettable!

First up is Stuart, one of our newest team members who's already impressing groups and racking up ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews! From historic tales to local secrets, Stuart brings top energy and passion to every ride.

Watch the full video to get to know Stuart a little better, and keep an eye out for him on our tours!

This is just one of the ways we're celebrating the brilliant work our guides do; they’re the heart of everything we do.

Interview:

Interviewer: Can you introduce yourself for us?

TG: Yeah. So my name is Stuart. I grew up in a town on the outskirts of Glasgow called Hamilton. So I've spent a lot of my life in and around Glasgow. I love being Glaswegian and getting to show people around.

I: Amazing. And what's your favourite part about being a tour guide?

TG: Oh, the best part is definitely meeting people from all different places and getting to know them, and just having a fun day cycling around the city. And yeah, just showing them parts of Glasgow they probably wouldn't see.

I: And what is your favourite stop on the tour?

TG: My favourite stop on the tour is Kelvingrove Park, where you see the museum and the university, and you cycle up Kelvin Way. I think its the most beautiful part of the city.

I: Its pretty scenic, good choice. And is there any place you would recommend for a tourist to go visit?

TG: I definitely recommend the Necropolis on the East End of the city. And if you're over that way, the Barrowlands Market. Go to the Barras. Really cool Glaswegian experience.

I: Amazing, thank you so much!

A new mural featuring Mary Barbour has been unveiled in Govan.

The mural features a modern-day interpretation of her image and her legacy as an activist, a message as relevant today as it was in her time.

The mural was done by the international artist Jeks in collaboration with Yardworks, who has worked on other murals in Glasgow.

The mural marks the second monument dedicated to Mary Barbour in Govan, where she led rent strikes in 1915. A statue commemorating her work can be found at Govan Cross.

We're proud to have named one of our bikes after her and to keep her legacy alive on our tours! To find out more about her, read our blog post dedicated to her, which was written for us by the Glasgow Women's Library.

Next up in our tour stop series, we are showcasing the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and its surrounding green spaces.

Home to a number of art masterpieces and exhibition collections, it is easy to see why the museum is one of Scotland's most popular museum attraction!

It is another one of our most popular stops, where we have the chance of cycling around Kelvingrove Park and up Kelvin Way for some scenic photo stops and views of the West End.

Book a tour with us and leave your exploration of the area to us, giving you more time to soak in the city at your pace 😉
