🌌 Deal 3 of the northern lights series 🌌

Cruising will give you the best chance to see the northern lights for a couple of reasons:

1- your trip tends to be longer, in this case a 12 night cruise around Norway 🇳🇴 therefore, more nights to potentially see the lights compared to a weekend city break for example.

2- while you are cruising through the night, you are out at sea, where the light pollution is either zero or very low. This will give the optimum conditions for viewing the aurora.

3- if you have an ocean view stateroom or balcony stateroom you will be able to view the aurora from the comfort of your room or balcony.

4- you wake up somewhere new most days & visit new towns and cities. You can get up to plenty of excursions on port days, relax on the ship on days at sea. And have the added bonus of having the optimum conditions (other than unpredictable weather) for seeing the aurora.

There are multiple cruise lines which offer northern lights cruises. This means there is a cruise holiday to suit all groups of travellers whether that is solo, couple, family, friends or anything in between.

Cold, dark & (mostly) wet Scottish winter has me thinking of sunnier times 🌅 and wishing I was there now!


Photo 3 is when we came here for the first time for our honeymoon in 2020 between lockdowns. It was understandably very quiet and although a shame for travel & tourism industry, there was something special about feeling like we had the place to ourselves no matter where we went.

Photos 1 & 2 are from our holiday to Corfu in 2022, our first as a family of 3. Busier streets and life back to ‘normal’.

As usual, I’ve been thinking of where we’ll head to next - our first as a family of 4.
We’re usually a visit somewhere new each time we travel kinda people. Corfu has a special place in my heart now, so will we be back for our youngest first holiday or back to trying somewhere new 🤷🏼‍♀️
