Puffin season has arrived once again 🐧
From April to July the puffin makes a return to its land-based home, nesting near the UK shorelines. 🌊
Getting close to a puffin is an unforgettable moment. Find a sheltered spot close to the colony and experience the bustling atmosphere as puffins - also known as sea parrots - gather around you.
The question is where do you have the best chance of spotting these comical seabirds? 👀
They are known to arrive on the soaring cliffs of Shetland and Orkney as well as the islands to the west of Mull every year. Early in the season you can find them flocking to the sea, forming groups - known as 'rafts'.
