2025 is a monumental year for us at Barrhead Travel, as we proudly celebrate our golden 50th anniversary 🥂! Our celebrations commenced on the 12th of June with a vibrant event alongside our esteemed partners and business associates. The festivities continued this week at our head office in Glasgow where we indulged in delicious cakes, colourful decorations, and a few prize giveaways.

Additionally, our branches will host special customer events this Saturday, ensuring everyone can join in the fun and excitement🎈. During these customer events, we are thrilled to offer exclusive consumer deals to help our customers plan their next holiday with us. These special offers are our way of expressing gratitude for their continuous support and loyalty.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲! 🛳️

We arrived in the morning and were warmly welcomed with a hot drink and a delicious pastry to start our day. Shortly after, we enjoyed an in-depth tour of Queen Mary 2, exploring the wide range of facilities. The tour guide took us through the ship’s nightclub, a variety of beautifully designed bars, and several restaurants, each offering its own unique atmosphere and style. We also had the opportunity to view accommodation options, including the Inside cabins, Balcony rooms, and the Princess and Queens Grill suites.

Following the tour, we enjoyed an amazing three-course lunch in the Britannia Restaurant. After some delicious food, we continued to the upper decks to view the expansive pool areas, perfect for relaxation. A unique feature of the Queen Mary 2 is its accommodation for dogs so we had the chance to visit the kennel area.

At the end of the tour we ended the day with a glass of Champagne in the Champagne Bar, a lovely way to end the day exploring the Queen Mary 2!

Interesting fact for you, the cruise ship is longer than the Eiffel Tower is tall! With a range of places to eat and drink from a Chart Room (with Cocktail Bar & Jazz Band) to the Golden Lion Pub and the Britannia restaurant there is something for everyone and there is also Sir Samuels if you wish for a coffee & pastry or cake!

From an Inside Cabin to the Suites, you always get a pair of slippers and bottle of fizz, if you wish to upgrade to the Princess or Queen's Grill cabins these provide your own restaurant to dine in with the same table for the duration of your cruise. With the Princess or Queen's Grill the cabin's are bigger and can also include a walk-in wardrobe and bathtub!

Entertainment is included on board - from the Royal Court Theatre and the Illuminations, a secondary space theatre which also offers a cinema and lectures to the G32 nightclub, should you wish to dance the night away! There is also the Spa if you'd like to pamper yourself during an at sea day or there are also a choice of pools to relax with a book by. If you don't have your own book, you can hire one out from the largest library at sea with over 10000 books!

Congratulations to Gareth & Brian from our IT team who have been nominated by their fellow team members as Colleague(s) of the Month for May! 🥳

In recognition of all their exceptional work, Gareth & Brian will be given a certificate of recognition, as well as shopping vouchers, and on their behalf we will donate to charities of their choice. Gareth has chosen to give his £100 donation to The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, and Brian has chosen to give his to Ronald McDonald House.
