Sad to see when a so called roofer does a £2700 job on a flat roof, probably 4mx 1 m wide The clients ceiling comes in due to terrible and shody workman ship, that left water build up on the roof !! even after multiple opportunities to rectify it still blanked the customer , poor 80 year old man’s bedroom a state !!! A 4 hour job £1700 and another £1000 for another bit to fix and made it worse !!! Disgusting absolutely boils ma blood these cowboys !! Material was probably few hundred if that !!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

In 38 years of work a don’t think I have ever seen the weather from December till April as bad !! A haven’t worked a full week since then !! 2-3 days max it’s been brutal tbh !!! When is this ☀️ making an appearance 😀

The dangerous of stonemasonry !!! Imperative you wear correct PPE , silica deposits from sandstone over a period of time are deadly to the lungs , gives you silicosis it basically impacts the lungs of oxygen , so many boys a worked with never lived beyond 50 !! And I hear of another who is 58 and not gd at all .This is down to wrong PPE from 38 years ago to not wearing it and constantly cutting stone in banker sheds and smoking ,, sometimes when you price a job clients thinks it’s to dear but if you realise it’s a life threatening job it reflects why !!! The novelty soon wears off as you get older !! Any young masons starting out it’s a must your wear respirators at all times it could save your life in the long run . 👍👍🙏

It’s amazing to see roofers who advertise as stonemasons and restoration on the side of their vans ?? Surely 4 years apprenticeship for one trade 4 year for another lead work another 4 years so all in you would have to do 12 years before you were time served ??? It’s getting beyond a joke the call backs from ppl who have these guys touching stonework embarrassing to say the least 😡😡

Repair work on Bowmont gardens west end done to a high level of workmanship , re creating the original features using lime mortar . Always happy to quote for any restoration work .

Temperatures dropping this week so don’t think any work will get done !!! Materials can’t be used under 5 degrees or they will 💯 fail , so anyone getting any work done with lime mortar be warned 👏👏
