🌊🥾WALK OF THE WEEK🥾🌊
Lily Loch & Ballygrant Loch
📍Lily Loch is located near Port Askaig
You can choose to have a nice short walk to the Lily Loch or you could start your walk from Ballygrant and pass by both lochs and return by walking the path back from Keils and that will be approximately 6 miles long!
🚘Parking🚘
Lily Loch: Follow the road to Port Askaig and a few metres after the sign for Coal Ila there is a parking space to the right
Ballygrant: Park in Ballygrant. Start the walk by taking the road heading south and there’s a sign that’s says Mulindry. Pass the village hall and when the road forks turn left. You’ll then have to go through a farm gate to get into the woods.
For further details I would recommend

When going through Ballygrant I highly recommend popping into Craigard Kitchen for some great home baking.
If your down that side of the island and have time I recommend popping into some of the distillery’s that way. The closest ones being Coal Ila, Ardnahoe and Bunnahabhin.

🥾🌊Walk of the Week🥾🌊
Machir Bay
2km of Sand to walk across🌊Located on the Rhinns of Islay 📍
Great walk no matter what the weather. Sand dunes are great fun for the kids. On a cold day I highly recommend stopping in at Kilchoman distillery as they do a great hot chocolate and it's only a 6 minute drive from the beach. if your not the driver Kilchoman also have a dram named after the beach 🥃
🚘Parking🚘
There is a parking area at the end of the track. Advise driving slowly down the track (beware of potholes👀)
🥾Footwear🥾
Any shoes you don't mind getting Sandy (I would personally wear wellies)
