Please read the full post and engage in the comments to help others and share your experiences & knowledge.

Chapter: 01

It is an open secret that 70% to 90% of UK skilled job sponsorship COS and recruitment are hugely controlled by the agent, company legal advisors, and recruitment officials. To support my analysis, please ask yourself how many skilled jobs you have applied for and got a positive outcome and secured the COS. I have seen thousands of CVs and their experiences and qualifications. They were far better than the candidates we recruited with COS-granted salaries.

First question- please answer in the comments box: “Who gave authority to these agents, company legal advisor and recruitment official do the recruitment ? “ & Why are the companies giving this authority?

Do you know the company cost for issuing the COS?

1. The company must pay the ISC ( immigration skilled charges ) fee to the UKVI for issuing the COS. Only “Student” and “Asylum Seekers” and a few others are exempted. All others, such as PSW, Dependent, Oversee COS, and Skilled workers to skilled workers, must pay the ISC before issuing the COS. ISC fees vary: Small companies pay £364, and large companies pay £ 1000 per year.

For example, if a company issues a COS for three years, it must pay ISC between 1,092 GBP and 3000 GBP. If it is for five years, it must pay between 1,820 and 5000 GBP.

2. COS issue fees: £239

3. Plus: Company layer fees: between 500 to 1k GBP.

The fees are also involved: a company must retain its legal advisor for around the years to do all legal sponsorship and employee paperwork related to immigration, And an accountant to ensure the right taxes and salary are paid.

It’s a huge financial and HR responsibility to recruit international candidates.

Please answer the second question in the comments box: “Who will benefit financially from recruiting international candidates? “

Chapter 02:

How do you know “ the recruitment is genuine and you will get the contact salary mentioned on the COS?

As you should have to trust some agents or legal advisors or recruitment officials or friends & Family.

1. Please do all correspondence via personal email (i.e., visa applications, interview correspondence, Joining process & any references for care jobs, DBS checks, etc.). That would give you a real idea of what is going on with your application and recruitment. If there is any suspicious activity or correspondence, you will know before any financial transactions.

2. The care homes recruitment: I have seen interview invitation requests come from their official emails and cc to all stakeholders related to the recruitment.

3. Job offer, interview outcomes, and COS issue personal documents they request the applicant directly.

4. If a UK immigration lawyer is involved, they must obtain the applicant's consent before submitting a visa application to the UKVI.

My advice:

My advice comes from 15 years as an immigrant and settled from student status. I have worked in a few universities as an international marketing and admissions and CAS officer. I have worked in a few immigration lawyers' firms as a legal assistant. I have completed a Pg Dip in common law, preparing for BAR training courses from September 2024.

1. Do not take COS without a Job guarantee. You will not be able to serve for five years. At some point in 5 years, you will look to change the sponsorship or switch to another route. I have received CVs; 10 out of 3/4 are already in the skilled worker route.

2. Please do extensive research about the company and location before the interview or as soon as you receive the interview invitation and research their email, website, company house and stakeholders.

3. Be flexible about locations if companies ask you during the interview.

Please let’s share your knowledge, experiences and ideas about skilled worker recruitment and COS. As we all understand, we all need a visa to remain in the UK, as we have all already invested huge amounts of money, effort and time. Let’s make sure your hard-earned money will be wasted.

Scotland is home to the oldest tree in Europe.

Located in the geographical centre of Scotland, the Fortingall Yew is one of Europe’s oldest life forms and lies in the unassuming Fortingall graveyard.

The estimates for the ancient tree’s age vary wildly, from 3,000 years old to 9,000 years old. While it is impossible to pinpoint the tree’s exact age, most estimates place it nearer to 5,000 years old making it as old as Stonehenge!

The circumference of the yew’s numerous trunks was measured at 52 feet in 1769! This is the length of one and a half London buses!

The person who drawn this finniest art 🖼️ of old trees , he named was E.W. DHAL. He was my neighbour. He had been sicked for years on bed . Few weeks later he died . I have collected fews of art his arts 🖼️ . I will post for him.
