The lesson of the day: "This man was working with his horse when there was a huge storm ... everyone ran everywhere he saw to hide from the storm. Yet he didn't move beside the horse, he stood beside him and hugged him tightly. They stood together in the pouring rain. When the rain stopped, the man noticed that we were watching him, then with a kind smile, he only said that he should take care of his friend. Lesson: Do not forget those by your side in the storm, because in the sun everyone can love.💞💗💞

53 years ago, Ron Howard went on his first date with fellow John Burroughs High School classmate Cheryl Alley. They went to see the rerelease of the 1963 classic It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World in Toluca Lake. Still going strong. 4 kids and 6 grandkids. Congrats Ron and Cheryl.

“I was at Walmart tonight & I saw this man w/ a cart full of stuffed animals.
When I asked him why, my heart became full.
He told me that every year he dresses up as Santa 🎅 & walks the halls of the children’s ER & delivers one to each child.
This man deserves to be recognized.”

In 1988, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole called the recording studio at 3am and said he had to record a song right away. 15 minutes later, Israel arrived at the studio. The studio owner, Milan Bertosa said, "And in walks the largest human being I had seen in my life." A security guard gave the 500 pounds man a large steel chair to sit on. Milan said, "Then I put up some microphones, do a quick sound check, roll tape, and the first thing he does is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' He played and sang, one take, and it was over."
