🌲🌞🍃 When we're not guiding and supporting you, sharing all the benefits of being out in nature on one of our bespoke walk days, we love spending time volunteering for the benefit of our local environment and maintaining enjoyable walking trails in tip-top condition. Yesterday as volunteer Southern Upland Way rangers, we cleared tree-fall and spruced up marker posts and a bothy for the spring-summer walking season.

🌿🤩🌻 The weather for walking was absolutely glorious yesterday, a warming sun with a cooling breeze, and air so fresh and clean, it really does make the heart and soul sing. We'd love you to join us sometime too, so please reach out if you're keen to rejuvenate and rebalance with some Vitamin D and 'Quality Time For Me', we're here to help!

🌞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌊 We're back in SW Scotland from our Southern hemisphere adventures and have somehow missed winter completely in the UK this year! It was lovely to go out for a walk back home here in Scotland and relax for a wee while under the sun. Lots of sea foam blowing about and we were serenaded simply by the sounds of the sea and the sighing of the breeze through the gently waving grasses. The water looked gorgeous, but having been used to plunging into a 27 degree sea until recently, 7.4 degrees here is a bit of an adjustment for a dip! The clocks 'spring' forward 1 hour overnight and our walking days are about to get longer and lighter. So come and join us on one of our adventures and rebalance in nature! 🤩🌱🦋

🤠💥🎩 Another Fun Friday Gunslinger Fact!

🌞 💃🏼🚶Some outdoor scenes for our official music video for were filmed on the Southern Upland Way among the atmospheric ruins of Kilhern, a group of tumble-down stone farm buildings surrounded by ancient neolithic and bronze age remnants. My bass-player hubby Ken and I also run Foot Luce Walking Tours as guides and are volunteer rangers on our local sections of the Way. It's Scotland’s longest walking route at about 215 miles.

🌲🏕️🤩 Kilhern is one of our favourite locations, we spend a lot of time out here and have camped overnight a few times and not seen another soul except the local sheep! We were keen to capture this feeling of remoteness and solitude in some of the Gunslinger scenes. The filming day was probably our most challenging, with all of the camera gear and costume box having to be carried in by backpack and out again. The things we do for our art!

🙌🌞🏖🌊 Today's walking adventures, complete with H20 therapy! Wandering, swimming and nobody around for miles, the perfect escape. Warm out in open country, so loch-floating under the sun was absolute bliss, soothed by a cooling breeze whispering across the moor grasses. Perfect way to de-stress and rebalance!

Some of Dumfries and Galloway’s most iconic historic sites ready to reopen their doors

Heritage attractions in Orkney, Dumfries and Galloway, Aberdeenshire and Perthshire, among others set to welcome visitors once more.

Several sites will re-open this spring following high-level masonry inspections. Access restrictions were put in place at several sites last year as a safety precaution while HES introduced new measures to manage the impact of climate change on its heritage assets. Whilst this is not an issue unique to Scotland, HES is one of the first to proactively tackle it. Some sites that will be welcoming visitors following their inspections include Glenluce Abbey, Dundrennan Abbey, MacLellan’s Castle,
