Jazz in the Village in Glenridding Village Hall tomorrow evening (Saturday). Tickets : £10.00 each. Bring your own booze. Doors open at 7.00 pm. Music from 7.30 pm.

Community Swim at 10.00 am from Glenridding Steamer Pier. Guaranteed to clear your head and blow away any hangover. You can swim, dip or paddle. Wet suit recommended. Bring plenty of warm clothes for afterwards.

Pop Up Cafe in the Village Hall from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm. Simple tasty menu of bacon butties, sausage sarnies, veggie and egg butties, home made cake and hot drinks. Please wear a mask until seated. Takeaway also available.

Quick reminder about "stuff" in the Hall over the next couple of weeks.

On Wednesday, 17 November, Caroline from Kitty Brown's Boutique is back for our annual fashion show. Our classy, sassy models will return to the Hall catwalk!!! Doors open at 7.00 pm. The fun starts at 7.30 pm. £5.00 (includes glass of wine or a soft drink).

Wednesday, 24 November - Clothes Recycling Day in aid of our School and the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Back door to the Hall will be open from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. Bags available from R&R the Corner Shop and Glenridding Mini Market. Or else use strong black bags. Donations of clothes, bags, belts, towels, bed linen (no duvets or pillows), shoes (in pairs) welcome.

31 March 2021 marks the closure of Patterdale Village Store and Post Office after 100 years of service to the local community and visitors to the Ullswater valley - and the first shop to sell Wainwright books.

We wish Tom and Gillian all the best for a long, happy and well deserved retirement.
