We are committed to eradicating single use plastic so having to regularly update laminated pages and use plastic cable ties to secure them in the physical guide book was completely going against that ethos.

When I opened my first caravan park in 2007 I was a complete novice. Simultaneously opening an onsite cafe just about sent me over the edge but the support & guidance of this lady and her lifetime’s experience of catering and hospitality saved me!
Our wonderful relationship developed over a deep fat fryer! 😂
So today I’m sending out a cheer to all the wise, supportive & strong women like Margaret in the world . Thank you 🥰

Sometimes known as ofuro, Japanese soak tubs are deep bathtubs designed for complete relaxation. Each of our cabins has a private tub for two on the veranda. Imagine a hot tub without chemicals, noisy jets, or lighting. Just fresh hot water enveloping you right up to your neck and just the sound of the breeze moving the grasses & trees in the meadow. BLISS!

The water irises are doing well this year. The pond is now hosting more oxygenating plants so we have less algae and healthier water. It’s teaming with life and looks particularly lovely now both the blue & red damselflies plus the broad bodied chaser have returned. I keep trying to film them but the little blighters are so quick (and my camera skills are so sh*te )! 🙄

This is The Nest Cabin 4 years today! I can’t believe how far we’ve come in those 4 short years. Winning best new tourism business in South West and best rural tourism business in the UK as well as rated GOLD by Green Tourism, GOLD by Visit England and rated amongst the top 15 cabin getaways by The Sunday Telegraph!
But the greatest buzz of all is all the lovely feedback from our guests - yes, that’s what really makes me smile 😊
