Seriously delighted to have won two gold awards at The Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire Tourism Awards on Thursday evening. Given it's The Roost's fifth birthday on 13th December, and the symbol for a five year anniversary is wood, it seems very appropriate to have got these lovely sustainable wooden trophies!

In the cloud! Our cabin guides are now fully digital.

We are committed to eradicating single use plastic so having to regularly update laminated pages and use plastic cable ties to secure them in the physical guide book was completely going against that ethos.

Plus we can get a lot more information in a digital guide!

On International Women’s Day - I wanted to celebrate this wonderful lady, Margaret, the .

When I opened my first caravan park in 2007 I was a complete novice. Simultaneously opening an onsite cafe just about sent me over the edge but the support & guidance of this lady and her lifetime’s experience of catering and hospitality saved me!

Our wonderful relationship developed over a deep fat fryer! 😂

So today I’m sending out a cheer to all the wise, supportive & strong women like Margaret in the world . Thank you 🥰
