We were excited to see Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway on the BBC last week - it's still on the iPlayer now at: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001tw37/peter-rabbit-2-the-runaway.
There were some shots of what looked like the House of the Tailor of Gloucester, but in reality these were built on set in Australia! Can you spot the differences?

Happy birthday to Dame Patricia from all of us at the House of the Tailor of Gloucester. She reopened our shop and museum in 2007 (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HF3NMGHVqKA) and has always been a great supporter of ours.

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to Dame Patricia Routledge, Patron of The Beatrix Potter Society. We are incredibly honoured to have such a remarkable woman holding such an important role in our treasured Society!

Dame Patricia Routledge played Beatrix Potter in the stage play ‘Beatrix' in 1997, and in 2016 she starred in the TV documentary 'Beatrix Potter with Patricia Routledge'. She has been the Patron of The Beatrix Potter Society since 2012.

45 Westgate Street, where John Prichard (the real tailor) had his shop, is now part of the Sword Inn. In the 1990s the pub was known as 'The Tailor's House'. This article tells some of the history of the building in its different guises.
