It is the perfect season for star gazing and Symonds Yat Rock is one of the best places around. It is a short walk through the Forest of Dean from our accommodation at Symonds Yat Rock Lodge (or a quick drive if the Forest feels a bit too full of nature in the dark - We do provide torches!).

LEAF PEEPING

Has that got your attention? Originating in Canada, the Forest of Dean is THE place in the UK to imitate our North American friends and head out into our woods to enjoy all those incredible colours, the fruits of the forest and the deer, boar, squirrels birds ... and perhaps finish off at one of our friendly local pubs with a roaring fire?
We have 5 circular walks starting from the front door and taking in views, autumn leaves and a pub stop.

The American craze has made its way across the Atlantic, and is proving very popular.
