So, why are farmers from all over the country traveling to London today?

We are protesting about the changes to Agricultural Property Relief APR. But why? Do we not want a stronger NHS and enhanced education for the nation? Yes of course we do but this is the thing; farms are worth a lot of money due to the increase in the value of property and land, but the profit is very small so farms don’t earn enough to pay Inheritance Tax. What worries me is what will be the long term effect on the agricultural industry, land use, food security, and our cultural heritage? One things for sure, farms will be sold. But we don’t really know and neither to the government. I don’t believe there’s a shred of good in this new approach to APR.

This is a great choice when staying with us, whether for a full blown special meal or to drink local ale or cider. It’s a delightful 35 minute walk across open countryside and along winding country lanes, or you can book a local cab or ask me for a lift. ###

We seem to have been very busy, and I see that it is over a month since I posted anything on Facebook!! This is a copy of our Special Offer menu which we serve in the Bistro at Lunchtime and Dinner,
£24.50 for two courses and £29. 50 for three courses. We also serve
Sandwiches, Snacks and single courses, as well as our main menu.The lovely sunshine has been encouraging everyone to eat outside, and everyone enjoys sitting around the pond.
