Exploring Screen Printing with tutor Charlotte Hawke 🎨

This course will develop your learning of colour and composition using screen printing techniques. We will explore monoprint through screens and using paper stencils to create exciting designs!

Folklore Stories in Stitch with tutor Trudi Price 🪡

Would you like to delve deeper into creative textiles and history? During this course you will learn a variety of stitching and textile techniques using folklore themes to include in your work. You will be experimenting with hand sewing, embroidery and how to include stitched writing into the pieces you make. This course is a fun way to experiment with new techniques, learn hand embroidery basics and tell stories in your textile projects.

Colossal Cardboard Cakes with tutor Warren Day 🎂

Get your creative and digestive juices flowing and develop your 3D skills to make an oversized food sculpture of your choice. We will recreate foods like donuts, chocolate bars and cakes on an enormous scale whilst exploring the properties and characteristics of different 3D-related materials such as modroc, card, found objects and wood. Join us on this delicious course and have fun making some really mouth-watering pieces of work!

Collaborative Sketchbook Making with tutor Charlotte Hawke 📓

Collaborative sketchbook making will give you skills in making folding paper sketchbooks that you can use to record your creative ideas. Each person will make a sketchbook, then pick a theme for the artwork inside. Once they've created the first page it will go to the next person who will respond to their idea - creating a collaborative sketchbook full of unique responses to a theme!

We had a fun and colourful time on our Graffiti Art course with tutor Nathan Coll. (on instagram) You can some of these amazing art works come together in our recently posted time-lapse video.

Everyone had a go at making large scale work, using spray cans, creating stencils and taking part in collaborative pieces!

We're looking for a volunteer to support a fun, hands-on creative lettering classes, previous experience is not mandatory.

You’ll be supporting a fun, hands-on creative lettering course, where students will explore the art of beautiful letters—think calligraphy and decorative alphabets.

Come along and support Aisha (Volunteer) and Shabana (Volunteer Coordinator) by visiting their wonderful Beyond the Veil Photography Exhibition in Kings Square created by Amanah Community CIC, Gloucester.

The exhibition runs until 15th March 📸✨

This mindful photography project aims to break down barriers and challenge perceptions about hijabi and niqabi women through their creative photography.

The exhibition is displayed outdoors in a public space, so feel free to visit anytime, day or evening.

Excited to share this beautiful mindfulness project by Amanah Community CIC that our Volunteer Coordinator, Shabana has had the pleasure of taking part in!

Come along and explore the powerful photography journey of a group of Muslim women, capturing mindfulness through their lens. On the opening ceremony day (8th March 4.30pm) there will be scrapbooks available to see each participant’s journey.
