Techniques are taken from the Bujinkan system of Ninjutsu, which is headed by Soke (grand master) Masaaki Hatsumi at the Honbo dojo in Japan, with dojo's in nearly every country in the world! Teachings include un-armed techniques, aswell as a wide variety of weapons specific to this ancient art. fore learning the foundation skills of Taijutsu through Kihon Happo (8 basic techniques) & then progressing through to bases of understanding the five elements structure using earth, water, fire, wind, void. Without this understanding of the basic foundations, students cannot grasp the progresive teachings of the Dan grade techniques in later years. Beginners are taut on a soft matted area initially, where as higher grades are encouraged to practise techniques on a hard floor, unless throwing is involved. Due to the nature of the tradition of Ninjutsu, no safety padding is worn, this is not a sport martial art, we do not have competitions for point's, etc, but every possible safety measure is addressed during training by instructors. Students will experience some minor knocks, bruises, grazes during training as this is normal, instructors are first-aid trained. The dojo has full liability insurance & instructors are affiliated & licensed in Japan.
