Keep an eye out for marine wildlife eggs washing up.
These often get washed up this time of year. Keep an eye out for them on your beach walks, return them to the deepest part of the tide you can, and attach them with string or use the tendrils already on the egg.
Alternatively, you can drop them off to us in the Ocean Lab, SA64 0DE where we can look after them till they hatch out and then we can release them safely.

What a start to There was a rustling in the grass. A head popped out and looked at me, before disappearing again. Another glance out, and then it hopped on to the path, looked me up and down before darting off into the shelter belt.

No nature = no economic growth, no food security and no hope fighting climate change. Our message to 10 Downing Street in The Telegraph from CPRE The countryside charity, Friends of the Earth, Green Alliance, Greenpeace UK, Marine Conservation Society, National Trust, RSPCA, Wildlife and Countryside Link, WWT (Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust), The Woodland Trust & WWF-UK.
The UK Government’s proposed removal of vital environmental protections could be catastrophic.
We know that people across the UK are passionate about protecting our wild spaces. We are asking the UK Government to listen and to act boldly to reverse the critical decline in nature and to realise that pitting growth against nature is a false choice. They've certainly been making a lot of noise since April, this is the first time I've actually managed to see one. So elusive, even the grasshopper song they make has a ventriloquist effect, making them so hard to spot.

In 2002 Dot, Brian, Trudie and Tim moved to Llandruidion to share the farm house. Llandruidion (meaning church of druids) is the small holding adjacent to Stones Cottages. They began to manage the land for wildlife planting 1000’s of trees. The fields were returned to traditional flower meadows, spring now brings an abundence of colour. Traditional haymaking techniques are used to cut the hay later in the year. Dot started vegetable growing and a new vegetable garden has been recently been started. Rosa and Iwan, Trudie and Tim's children where born soon after the family's arrival at Llandruidion.
In 2003 the barns adjacent to Llandruidion farm house came up for sale and Dot, Brian & Daniel purchased them and the idea of the Stones Cottages Retreat Centre was born. Work began converting the barns into cottages using environmentally friendly materials and technologies. The long term aim is to create a retreat centre for holidays and courses. Dan worked on the barns in between worldwide travels but finally properly joined the venture in 2006.
In late 2009 Dan and Shani moved to Llandruidion with Matilda and two week old Eliza. They gradually created a family home and management residence for the cottages and have recently finished the conversion of the workshop barn into the Workshop holiday cottage.
A small collection of animals have been kept over the years including chickens, goats and alpacs. The field opposite the cottages is known as Boo's field after a much loved female alpaca who spent many years here. Boo's field is now home to our four Shetland sheep, Florence, Kindred, Meg, Marigold.
The barns were general farm barns, Sunset was a coach house, Dan & Shani's house, Ty Cerrig, was for frisky stallions!, Harmony was a stable and the remaining building were for hay and other livestock and there was a working water mill. Stones cottages are thought to date from the 1800's.
At the conception of Stones Cottages we knew that anything we were going to create had to be in harmony with the environment. Furthermore that our actions in its creation had to have minimal negative social, local and global environmental impact. Where we have been able our adventure has been self funding and sustainable through the use of our own labour and resources. When we have bought in expertise and labour we have done so from the local area. This is a family project and we feel we are building something for the future. Something that will last. Something that is not disposable. The fabric of what we are creating we hope will outlive us and many generations to follow. We hope you will come and stay in our green holiday cottages and give us feedback on what we are doing.
