Another film Premiere for Theatr Gwaun! We are screening the Wales Premiere of Mike Joseph's new film, Gaza: A Story of Love and War, on Saturday August 24th at 7:30pm. Following the film there will be a live Q&A with producer Mike Joseph hosted by Martin Shipton.

27/09/2023: Journalist sons of refugees share Gaza stories online. Mike Joseph is Welsh, unable to enter Gaza. Sami Abu Salem is Palestinian, unable to escape. Mike’s uncle was in Jewish forces which destroyed Palestinian Burayr in 1948. Sami’s mother escaped to Gaza. In 1938 N***s expelled Mike’s mother from Germany to Welsh refuge.
Their families now live in Wales and Gaza. They ask: Is coexistence possible? Ten days later, Hamas invades, Israel responds lethally, Sami and family flee towards Rafah. Half the film rushes and all hopes are lost.
27/09/2023: Newyddiadurwyr meibion ffoaduriaid yn rhannu straeon Gaza ar-lein. Mae Mike Joseph yn Gymro, yn methu mynd i mewn i Gaza. Mae Sami Abu Salem yn Balestina, yn methu dianc. Roedd ewythr Mike mewn lluoedd Iddewig a ddinistriodd Burayr Palestina yn 1948. Dihangodd mam Sami i Gaza. Ym 1938 diarddelodd y Natsïaid fam Mike o’r Almaen i loches Gymreig.
Mae eu teuluoedd bellach yn byw yng Nghymru a Gaza. Maen nhw’n gofyn: A yw cydfodolaeth yn bosibl? Ddeng niwrnod yn ddiweddarach, Hamas yn ymosod, Israel yn ymateb yn angheuol, Sami a’r teulu yn ffoi tuag at Rafah. Mae hanner y ffilm yn rhuthro a phob gobaith yn cael ei golli.
