I would like to say a big thank you to all those who joined us at the weekend to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary.

For those who weren’t able to join us, we stayed at the Lakeside Hotel & Spa, a beautiful venue at Lakeside on the edge of Lake Windermere, where the pier, Haverthwaite & Lakeside Railway and Lakes Aquarium all meet.

Back to the thank yous. Firstly to our CAB family. I say family because we do think of you all as part of our family not just customers. Regardless of whether you travel once or 10+ times a year, or if you have travelled with us since day 1 or are a first timer, you make such a difference. Without you there would be no CAB.

Next, a big thank you to Kennedy for organising the weekend. She has worked incredibly hard to make this weekend a success and I am sure you will agree it was! Onto our drivers Steve, George, Craig, Carl M and David for making sure your journeys are as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Howard and Juris in the workshop who look after our vehicles. Zoe, creator of the term “CAB-tastic”, for managing the office. Sue who helps with advertising. And finally our leader Carl. The hardest working person there is. Always on the go, always looking for new opportunities. There’s been some ups and downs over the years, but with every hiccup, Carl has risen to the challenge with his motto “we don’t have problems, only solutions”. Thank you for giving me a chance all those years ago and teaching me everything I know. It’s been an incredible adventure.

So, thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey, helping us to reach this milestone. We are truly grateful to you all.

All of the accommodation at the Winnock Hotel is different. From layout and size to décor and outlook, the majority of the rooms are unique which all adds to the charm of the Winnock Hotel.
