A recent walk near Ingoldsby inspired this print - it was a blustery day and the deer ran from one wood to another. They bounced and pranced across the horizon like the Babycham logo. I love the movement and the freedom in this reduction linocut It's so good to get outdoors

It's a rare thing for me to do a still life, but creating little pockets of cosiness like the herbs from the garden placed in my Mum's best pottery jug underpin my life out in nature...a lovely space to come home to with the little touches that count. This is a reduction lino print that took 6 colour runs through the press. I'm really pleased with it!

An image to go with a book I am creating currently - it's a reflection on lockdown, a celebration of nature, isolation, stillness and sombre mood reflected in darker tones, which is a change from my usual palette. I'm loving a return to my Illustrator roots!

Evening dog walks at dusk this weekend - I have seen so many hares. Last night I saw one crouching beside the wheat crop sheltering from the wind hoping I wouldn't see - before racing off . They are such beautiful creatures. There's a print formulating in my mind, somewhere........

Finally finished - this is the first of my Hebridean images which will be available as prints and cards - eventually...this was such a joy to do, especially as I couldn't get back there this year.

The village on a lampshade. It took so long to cut this lino plate. It was a real labour of love. I love our church and the fields beyond. It's especially lovely to see the prayer ribbons on the railings.

A friend and I saw these swans flying overhead the day that Boris announced the closure of pubs and cafes. We both had that feeling that things were about to change in dramatic ways and sat in silence for a while after our dog walk. The white swans stood out equally as dramatic against the grey skies. Keeping it simple still with parred back artwork for parred back times.

I came across a little shed on Calgary beach on Mull once. An upturned boat roof with a chimney installed. A well built wall at the base. What more could you need to shelter from a storm? Tough times ahead. Keep it simple folks. X

Spring Salmon - that's the name for salmon that return to Scottish rivers from January to June. In most cases they return to the river they were born in. Wild salmon are a protected species now. This print celebrates such an amazing fish. It's a limited edition reduction linocut.
