Some great photos have just come in from Heatherlea Guide Toby Green who was leading this years Camargue tour. Group highlights included well over a 100 Little Bustard at four sites plus a high count of 15 Pin-tailed Sandgrouse flying round with one of the Bustard flocks. At least 9 Griffon Vulture at a breeding site and some good migrants down on the coast with Woodchat Shrike and a few nice Yellow Wagtail races! They also had Slender-billed Gulls looking amazing, Flamingos and a cracking encounter with Bonelli’s Eagle!

On this relaxed paced spring itinerary, we stay on the largest Island, St Mary’s, visiting the four other inhabited islands on daily excursions. Famed for attracting rarities at any time of year we won't shy away from Mediterranean overshoots such as Hoopoe, Red-rumped Swallow, Golden Oriole, Night Heron or Woodchat Shrike if known to be present. We also take time to enjoy the scenery and the beauty of each island.

"We had an incredible six days with some real headline birds. We managed to see 68 species in total including a North American rarity triple header - American Coot, Bufflehead and Ross’s Goose! With a supporting cast of American Wigeon, Purple Sandpiper, Merlin, a Woodcock sat out in the open in a field and three Otter in one day! Plus the group enjoyed the wonderful spectacle of the Viking-inspired fire festival!" - Holly Page

Some lovely photographs have just come in from Heatherlea Guide Mike Coleman who was leading our new Sri Lanka tour.
The group enjoyed a wealth of bird life (200+ species) across various habitats and altitudes, including many of the endemics, lots of mammals including three monkey species, Asian Elephant and a Leopard, plus colourful butterflies galore! 🦋🐒🐦
