Completed a refurbishment/facelift of The Gym Hub - Wickford this week. We added new lighting and audio systems and general electrical alterations.
We 1st fitted this gym out from new in 2014 and it was time to change things up.

We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single one of you who have supported Katie's Heart Appeal for another year, to all our AED Guardians, and to all our new supporters who have joined us in 2023 👏🏻

This year another alone we have:

Placed another 18 defibrillators in the community (total 64) ❤️⚡️

Waiting for another 7 defibrillators to arrive for 2024 🙌🏻

Placed another 25 bleed control kits in the community (38 in total)🩸

The AEDs for all new build developments bill went to parliament 🏠❤️⚡️

Started the campaign for it to be mandatory for all care homes to have their own defibrillator ❤️

Replaced batteries, pads, rebreathers, and locks on our already existing defibrillators and cabinets 🔋🔓 🫁 ❤️

Hosted 7 CPR training sessions for the community with the First Responders 🚑💙

Monitored all defibrillator call outs and worked closely with The Circuit British Heart Foundation and East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust to keep all our defibrillators emergency ready 🏥🚑

We have had our volunteers taking part in various events for Katie's Heart Appeal such as the Horndon 10k, 3 Peaks Challenge, Thameside 10 for 10 TWO throughout the year and have been supported by so many local businesses and organisations.

We just wanted to say a massive thanks to Vince from VK Electrical Services. An absolute gentleman and a credit to his profession. From initial contact to job completion this gentleman not only made light work of a complicated electrical problem which left me scratching my head but explained exactly why I couldn’t get the reading when tackling it myself with a multimeter.
