The property is being used for local residential purposes, so no further booking will be available.

Scotland’s Greatest Escape in a nutshell.
Back in the late 1870s, intrepid swimmers could cool off in the Clyde. The Clyde Floating Swimming Bath, which opened in 1879, was moored in the river off Battery Park at Greenock.
The brainchild of local shipbuilder and merchant James McCunn, the bath was housed in a 120ft barge, fitted with large water tanks, and a slatted wooden floor, to let the river refresh the water.
The attraction proved popular with swimmers from Glasgow, who would catch the train down for a dip. Entry cost one penny - not including a towel - with “temperance refreshments” on offer throughout the day.
Clothing shops clamoured for sales of appropriate swimming suits with 40 dressing rooms lining the perimeter of the pool.
Special “ladies only” sessions and displays of “fancy swimming” were held on the occasional Saturday afternoon.
In October 1881, just over two years after the pool first opened, a storm was to destroy the baths, with the scrap metal being auctioned off to the highest bidder.

We are back! This year sees the return of the Gourock Highland Games to Battery Park on Sunday 8th May 2022.
We are delighted to be back after a 2 year absence.
The Games begin at 12 o'clock and entry is free, so put it in the diary now and join us for a great family day out.
See heavy competitors throw the Kempock Stane, hear the Pipe Band competitions and watch the Highland Dancers, all in a stunning setting with the River Clyde as the back drop.
This year we welcome George McLeary as Chieftain.

Feedback from recent guests included a need for a handrail when getting out of the bath, which has now been installed.
However, the plan was always to sit on the top "step", when getting in and out of the bath.
We have also installed a little reminder for our guests. :-)

Exciting news! The Tower will be closed for 2 weeks for a much needed bathroom refurb. 01/02/2022 - 13/02/2022 We don't want to give too much away, but it might involve a few bubbles with space for 2! ;-) Hopefully we will be finished for 14th Feb for our guests stay, otherwise its a dip in the Clyde! :-) Bookings are being taken for the rest of the year.
There has been talk of The Tower being haunted. Personally we haven't experienced anything, but after seeing this security video from yesterday we are not too sure! 👻😱
