¿Sabías qué?

🧿 Las elegantes Escaleras de Kamondo (Kamondo merdivenleri) en turco o también conocidas como las escaleras del banquero, son unas escaleras peatonales muy famosas en Estambul que llevan a la torre de Galata, en el distrito de Beyoglu.

Las escaleras fueron construidas por un banquero y filántropo judío Abraham Salomon Camondo (1781-1873), de aquí su nombre.

Abraham quería que sus hijos tuvieran un camino más corto de casa a su escuela, así que comenzó a construir las escaleras alrededor de 1870-1880 en lo que entonces era Constantinopla. La escalera proporcionó un atajo no solo a la escuela de los hijos del famoso banquero, sino también al banco de propiedad familiar en lo que ahora se llama Bankalar Caddesi (Banks Avenue).

Diseñada con una fusión de estilos, fueron construidas con el estilo arquitectónico del siglo XIX. Se utilizó una mezcla de dos estilos franceses: el Art Nouveau (el "nuevo estilo") y el estilo renacimiento barroco (también conocido como neobarroco).

Estambul es una ciudad de colinas. Las escaleras resultaron algo empinadas. Para evitar que alguien se cayera hasta la parte inferior de los escalones, se ejerció un diseño especial. Teniendo en cuenta su forma hexagonal, observamos que permite la captura si alguien se resbala y se cae.

Comunica las calles Voyvoda Caddesi y Banker Sokağı y desembocan en su parte superior en el Hospital austriaco de San Jorge y en la Sinagoga de los Sastres y en su parte inferior en la antigua sede del Banco Imperial Otomano, hoy reconvertido en el centro cultural Salt Galata.

Hoy en día, las escaleras sirven como un paseo de moda hasta la Torre de Gálata y las atracciones de la hermosa ciudad de Estambul, lo que hace que sean frecuentemente retratadas.

¿Existe el día más triste del año, que en el mundo anglosajón se conoce como Blue Monday y se achaca al tercer lunes del primer mes, que en 2024 es el día 15 de enero? ¿Puede ser la solución hacer una escapada?
El origen del Blue Monday, según cuenta la BBC, se remonta a 2005 y a una campaña publicitaria de la compañía de viajes Sky Travel, ya desaparecida. Aquella marca le encargó al psicólogo Cliff Arnall que diseñara una fórmula para calcular cuál es el peor día del año, con el resultado que ya conocemos. Aunque cabe precisar que su conclusión ha sido muchas veces criticada e incluso tachada de pseudociencia.
Para quienes deseen paliar la ‘tristeza de Enero’ proponemos un total de cinco viajes posibles que consideramos muy adecuados para pasar el Blue Monday, tanto si existe como si no ese estado depresivo durante esta época del año, lugares soleados y de costa, con excelentes temperaturas en Enero y también agregamos algunas experiencias más urbanas.

Where even your eyelashes freeze!!!
One of the reasons for its extreme cold is its geographical location.
Its latitude. It is located on a plateau of 470 meters. For this reason, they have lower temperatures than elsewhere in Siberia.
It has more or less a thousand inhabitants.
It is not unusual for temperatures to drop to -63 °C in winter 🥶
It even holds the record for the lowest temperature recorded on January 26, 1926. Minus 71.2 degrees Celsius.

Donde se te congelan hasta las pestañas!!!
Una de las razones de su extremo frío es su situación geográfica.
Su latitud. Está asentado sobre un altiplano de 470 metros. Por tal razón, tienen temperaturas más bajas que en otro punto de Siberia.
Cuenta más o menos con mil habitantes.
No es raro que en invierno bajen las temperaturas hasta -63 °C 🥶
Incluso tiene el récord de la temperatura más baja registrado el 26 de enero de 1926. Menos 71,2 grados centígrados.
Nò tienen agua corriente, pues se congelan las tuberías! Es por eso que los baños se encuentran en el jardín, sin ninguna calefacción.
Su dieta se basa en carne y pescado, ya que las bajas temperaturas no permiten sobrevivir a cultivos y productos frescos.
Durante el día se ayuda con el llamado Té Ruso ( Vodka )
Tres cuartas partes del año viven por debajo de los -40°C. Sólo dispone de 3 horas de luz al día en invierno.
Los trayectos se hacen con la ayuda de los perros o en autobus. Si se quiere ir a pie, debe ser muy rápido... - 45°C la piel se congela en 5 - 10 Minutos.
Los coches están en garajes con calefacción, yà que los motores no arrancan a -20°C.
Quién no tiene garaje, la deja afuera y en primavera, le coloca una hoguera debajo, para descongelarlo.
Hay calefacción para todo el pueblo gracias a una Central Térmica que sirve a todos y que funciona las 24 horas.
Una exposición continua a temperaturas bajas sin estar debidamente equipado, corre el riesgo de congelación o hipotermia.
Quién desee ir de vacaciones debe saber que nò existen hoteles... Se debe alojar en las casas de los habitantes.

El agua que rodea a los Waru Waru donde están plantados los cultivos es la que permite que las cosechas no se hielen cada noche cuando la temperatura puede bajar una media de 5 grados.

Durante el día, el sol y el ambiente puede llegar a temperaturas bastante media altas y el agua calentada desde el amanecer hasta el atardecer es la que emite por la noche el suficiente calor como para que las plantas no mueran de congelación nocturna.

These are the remains of the Adelaide City ship. Sunk in 1912 about 300 m from the Australian coast, its hull has become an artificial island inhabited by a wide variety of animals and plants!

The ship was accidentally stranded in 1916, even after being stranded its hull remained largely intact until 1940. In the 60s there was a project to bring it afloat and build a restaurant. In 1971 a cyclone that hit the coast of northern Queensland destroyed much of its hull and since then this Australian ship was gradually populated with mangroves.

Robin Hood really existed (Legend):

His name was Roger Godberd, over time they called him Robin Good or Robin the good, then he adapted as Hood. He was a man of about 30 years old.

Bold with the bow and arrow who lived in the 20th century, it is said that he was a great friend of the shériff of Nottingham but the circumstances of life took them on opposite paths, since Roger could not stand the idea of the abuse of the rich towards farmers and the lowest-income people of the peoples.

According to some accounts, the first robbery was a shipment of skins and food that some of the King’s soldiers had taken from people in one of the towns where he spent most of his time ... then he saw in this a way to help people since everything he “stealed” or recovered was given to poor people.

It is said that he died treacherously for one of his men who wanted to collect his reward, he was worshipped by the poor of Nottingham and Yorkshire, his tomb is in Yorkshire, England and he is almost 800 years old.

Según algunos relatos el primer robo fue un cargamento de pieles y de comida que unos soldados del Rey le habían arrebatado a personas de uno de los pueblos donde el pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo ... luego vio en esto una forma de ayudar a las personas ya que todo lo que "robaba" o recuperaba se lo entregaba a la gente pobre.

Se dice que murió a traición por uno de sus hombres que quiso cobrar su recompensa, fue adorado por los pobres de Nottingham y Yorkshire , su tumba está en Yorkshire, Inglaterra y tiene casi 800 años.
